Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!

--To dread dyeing eggs with the kids, but do it because they like it. However, when I left the room, Natalie decided to super glue the wrap onto the egg because she couldn't get it to stay. Then it got stuck on her fingers, so that was fun.

--To have stayed in my sweatpants most of Easter and then was in my pajamas by 6.

--To not care if Daryl dies on The Walking Dead. Some people were freaking out over the last episode. I like Carol more. I guess we'll see what happens on the finale on Sunday.

--To have thought it was funny that parents were giving their kids strategies to get the eggs at the base egg hunt. I just told Natalie, "Don't get trampled. Don't trample others."

--To get irritated when Natalie's friends are all, "You're still in a carseat?" NO, it's a booster seat, and it keeps her safe. (I ranted about this in a blog post here.)

--To have been able to review a burger press from Cave Tools here. We had some delicious burgers.

--To think it was funny that Natalie really wanted a Grumpy Cat balloon for her birthday:

  1. it's the law about the booster seat here, and i'm all for it. good for y'all! i don't like dyeing eggs either, and managed to get out of it this year, woo hoo! i was in my pjs all of saturday. my nieces and nephews are just gonna have to accept their aunt's casual aka hot mess look. they'd probably freak out seeing me in makeup!

  2. I think it's even funnier that Grumpy Cat balloons exist!

  3. Simon is pretty sensitive about sitting in a carseat still. Ugh.

  4. I have two still in boosters. They're short like me. Thankfully, we don't often have other people in our van, so no one knows or says anything! Frances was 10 before she was tall enough to be out of it!

  5. Best advice ever: Don't get trampled, don't trample others. Love this so much.

And yes, my nine year old also rides in a booster seat. She's safe and that's all that matters.

  7. That grumpy cat balloon is so cute! I lazed about on Easter, too.

No egg dying here this year. My kids really don't care about it and they don't eat the eggs, so I decided to take that off my to do list. It would be different if they really wanted to do it.

  9. We totally didn't dye Easter eggs this year because I didn't want to deal with the mess.

And my son is 5 and my husband wants to put him in a booster seat without a back. He's totally ok in his current seat which has a 5-point harness. If anything, he can upgrade to a high back booster, but I don't see why we need to change anything if he's ok with the seat he's in.

  10. LOL! My entire blog tomorrow is about The Walking Dead but Daryl can't die because he and Carol haven't kissed yet. That grumpy cat balloon is awesome. Happy Tuesday!

  11. I thought boosters were the law until they were at least ten, right? Or maybe that's my state. Either way, kudos to you! And then 13 until they sit in the front seat? Eh, I'll have to review it again.
I thought Carol was a bad guy on Walking Dead. See how little I know from listening to Cassidy watch it every week.

  12. Ah yes, we lounged around Easter too!
I totally predicted that TWD ending. Kirkman is a one trick pony.
Did you see Gotham last night? The preview for next week and Bruce Wayne is jumping between the buildings? Holy crap! That's very Batman of him!

  14. Our Easter was so low key, too! Sometimes it's better that way :)

  16. I totally miss dying eggs...! I should just do it anyway...! Grumpy Cat rocks!!

  17. People were giving their kids strategies to find more eggs? Yeah, that is why we opt for the whole backyard only egg hunts. We can hide and re hide them as many times as the toddler wants and she never knows what we are doing!

  18. I have become one of those people who is usually in pjs by 7pm every evening. I walk in through the door from work and the first thing I do is put on my pjs. It's bliss
