I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude. To the lady who keeps linking up religious posts that has nothing to do with this: stop it.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to not be surprised by the split between the teacher and the student. Remember that gross woman who hooked up with her 12-year-old student? Puke. You can read more about it here.
....to think it's sweet how much Natalie loves her hamster. She's all, "Hi my precious baby, how are you today?" And she thanks me for letting her get him multiple times a day.
....to roll my eyes a bit when I inevitably get the "where do you find the time?" comment when I share a book that I recently finished. Look, I love to read. I make sure I have time to read on a daily basis. I always want to give a snarky reply, "Oh, gee, I don't know, I guess the same way you found the time to make your nails super pointy and red."
....to be proud of my son and his YouTube channel. He makes videos on life with autism, plus gaming ones. You can check it out by clicking here.
....to be skipping Fear The Walking Dead. Last season bored me to tears.
.....to have gone to see Wonder Woman. It is amazing. You must see it! Plus it's directed by a woman, so it makes it extra spectacular. My daughter was acting like Wonder Woman the other day:

ReplyDeleteReading your Hey it's okay posts are so fun. This weeks was even funnier than the last one.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteFunny. People always comment on my making time to read too. I just do!
ReplyDeleteI love hamsters. Miss mine.
ReplyDeleteI love this series of yours. I need to see Wonder Woman this week as I heard it is amazing. Hope you have a fab week.
ReplyDeleteYour son is my hero.
ReplyDeleteI legitimately put read 25 pages on my to-do list every day. What's wrong with making the things you want to do instead of the things you have to do a priority? Nothing!
ReplyDeleteI read that the teacher and student are actually divorcing because he wants to sell recreational marijuana and it's hard for him to get s license because he's married to a convicted sex offender. They're still together, just split legally. Ironic, right?
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute that your duaghter loves the hamster so much! I love to read too!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is a great post idea! It was really nice to read it and help to feel better ! xx corinne
ReplyDeleteI got a hamster in high school because my parents wouldn't let me have a dog either. I loved it at first. Hope Natalie loves Pumpkin for a while to come!
ReplyDeletehaha It's ok to read this post more than once cause one was simply not enough :)
ReplyDeleteI guess I really do need to see Wonder Woman! Everyone is regaling over it!! I guess that's something my husband and I will do later this week!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son and his YouTube channel. I think it's a pretty cool idea and will help other kids his age.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see Wonder Woman!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's so awesome about Tommy. He's a trail blazer.
I haven't seen the movie yet and I saw this clip from that series, looks interesting!

Love this spirited picture of your daughter on the trampoline. I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet but really want to.
ReplyDeleteI want to see Wonder Woman too! I love the snarky comment sometimes people just need it. lol
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing shot on the trampoline there. I love it. And I cannot say that I am all that surprised that Mary Kay and him split. Curious to know that he was the one who sought the separation. He seems to have been wondering aloud what life would have been like. Duh! All these years and it finally dawns on him or something. Ugh! Society is just messed up.
ReplyDeletethat is such a great shot of the trampoline, I so want one and don't know if it sounds chidish saying I want one. I have been wanting to see Wander Women and have heard great reviews.
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to watching Wonder Woman. I've heard so many good things about it already!
ReplyDeleteHaha i laugh hard when i read your first entry. But hey, the other teacher who hooked up with her student, is now the First Lady of France. That is what we call ADVANCEMENT.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Wonder Woman!!! That's on my to do list this weekend!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair the relationship lasted a whole lot longer than I expected but sleeping with a 12 year old when you are 34 is quite awful :/ I just read up on the trial, very disturbing x
ReplyDeleteI love your comment about reading! That was too funny. I guess we all find time to sneak in the things we love. I love to read, but my fingernails are bare, and I like them that way!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman and me to.
ReplyDeleteBeen busy last week and I am excited to see the Wonder Woman too! So proud of your son's milestones as well! Good job Mommy! -ANOSA
ReplyDeleteLolll at the religious lady and your daughter! She's got moves! I can't wait to see Wonder Woman. I've heard great things!
ReplyDeleteI will watch Wonder Woman tomorrow night. Am curious about the storyline if it is similar to the first version.
ReplyDeletehave seen a few here but not all, good to make such post to get a bit of smile back on again, i think i will have to go watch the wonder-woman movie, as clearly it seems to be everyone's favourite.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Wonder Woman. I don't care what anyone says!

It's all okay... I believe in live and let live. Btw, my kids loved Wonder Woman.
ReplyDeleteI actually got a kick out of reading some of these. The idea of writing a list of things I am okay with is something I am going to have to start doing. It is getting rid of negative thoughts forever and moving on.
ReplyDeleteI hate when people question about time to read... like... none of your business? Gah. I just make the time instead of social media or something else (more like cleaning, but you know...) - I don't sleep well when I don't read before bed, so I MAKE the time! :)
