My daughter loves it when things are kawaii.
For example, this is kawaii:
Basically, kawaii is a Japanese word for cute. My daughter is obsessed with all things Japan. This is why I knew she'd love to try out the TokyoTreat box.
It's FULL of Japanese goodies--and yes, some of the flavors might seem bizarre, but Natalie wanted to try them out.
For example, she liked the Caramel Corn Cream Soda Flavor.
"It's sweet," she observed.
There was also Niigata Chewy Senbei, a Japanese rice cracker that Natalie thought was, "Crunchy." On the right is the Chocobi Melon Flavor, which Natalie said was, "Yummy." She also loved the packaging.
She gobbled up the Mitsuya Mandarin Orange Gummies and said they tasted, "Just like an orange. Only chewier."
She thought the Kirin World Kitchen's Salty Lychee Drink was "interesting" but the Super Thin PRETZ-Edamame Flavor treats were "good and crunchy."
The BAKE Limited Edition Coriander Flavor made her wrinkle her nose. "This is...different," she said. But the Picola Mango Yogurt stick cookies made her smile. "These are so delicious!"
She thought the Corn Potage Snack reminded her a little of cheetos, only not as cheesy. "I can understand why Japanese people like this!" The Choco Bar Z White Chocolate was a scrumptious treat. I took the rest of that one.
She also can't wait to try out this Dinosaur Island Pudding. You mix it up and place it in the mold for a fun snack! The instructions are inside the TokyoTreat booklet in English, because no way could I read that Japanese on the bag.
Finally, there was a Dagashi Bag full of snacks.
I was so impressed with how much was in this box! So was Natalie, "Whew, I'm full, and so far I only had a few bites of everything!"
Plus the cost wasn't that crazy: it starts at $14.99 a month. The most expensive is only $34.99, and you'll get 18 Full-Sized Snacks! If you've been wanting to try out goodies from Japan, I highly recommend getting this box. You won't go hungry, that's for sure.
If you want to try it out, go here. You can use the code AML for $3 off.
What treat would you be most excited to try?
