What To Put In A Teacher Sanity Basket

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes. The opinions and text are all mine. I received free samples of products from Wet Ones®. This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias Inc. and its advertiser. #BTSWithWetOnes #CollectiveBias

It's hard to imagine that school will be back in session soon. Didn't summer break just start? How can it already be ending?

We've spent a lot of times outdoors, taking in the sun, swimming in the pool, exploring the battlefields of Gettysburg, playing games, checking out State Parks...

But now it's almost time to get back to school. I won't lie, I am looking forward to the quiet. Teachers are my heroes, because they get to deal with 20 + kids at once, and they don't complain about it. They're always there with a smile and kind words, even if on the inside they're like, "Help! Send help!"

Well, I try to help when I can. And one way I do this is by handing over a Teacher Sanity Basket on the first day of school. Anyone can do this and I'm told teachers appreciate the gesture. Here's what you can put in a basket:

1. Chocolate. There's nothing like biting in a sweet morsel as chaos looms around you.

2. A gift card to a coffee shop. Caffeine helps. I learn this during the summer as my daughter asks me 134897 questions.

3. A journal to write down thoughts. Writing has always helped me to clear my head.

4. Pens. Everyone always needs pens! Mine always get lost. I imagine this is the same for teachers.

5. Wet Ones® Hand Wipes.

Look, with all those kids there are bound to be sticky hands. Wet Ones® can help with that.

I've used Wet Ones® for years. I love that they are gentle on skin and that they are hypoallergenic.

They also clean better than hand sanitizers AND kill 99.99% of germs. It’s why I bring the travel pack with me whenever we go out:

Wet Ones® are America's #1 hand wipe*, and I believe it, which is why I make sure to include them in the Teacher Sanity Basket.

You can find great savings on Wet Ones® with this Ibotta offer.

Even better, there's a Wet Ones® "Wish I had a Trip to Universal Orlando" sweepstakes included on the Specially Marked packaging featuring two of Universal Orlando Resort’s hit attractions - Shrek 4D and Transformers™: The Ride-3D where you could win a 3-night trip for FOUR to Universal Orlando Resort™, which includes:

--You get to stay on-site at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort--sweet!

--Ground transportation between the airport and the hotel in Orlando, which is a deal, because it can be pricey to get to and from the airport

--Tickets to the Blue Man Group at Universal Studios Florida™--an incredibly exciting show to watch!

Good luck! I'll have to be sure to mention the sweepstakes to my daughter's teacher when I hand over the basket.

Because I'm sure she or he would love to win.

  1. Going to share this with my son who is a teacher. Get some ideas from him what he would like to receive in his sanity basket. Like your ideas and starting off with chocolate is always a must.

  3. Chocolate would be my number one on the list as well. Great ideas! We have Wet Ones all over our house, in our car and our travel bag. With little ones they are a life saver.

  4. Chocolate and Coffee Shop gift cards are the perfect gift for a sanity box. These are great ideas. My son is a Jr in HS now, so I don't have to do these, but I'll probably send in GC's once a month for one of the teachers to have :)

  5. I think the teacher should get this once a week LOL. What they have to do with our kids and what they have to put up with I think they deserve a medal!

  6. What a thoughtful idea. I have given teachers gifts and random gifts along the way but a nice lol sanity basket for the beginning of the year is a nice gesture.

  7. What a great idea. My niece is a 4th grad teacher and I'm going to put one of these together for her. I don't have any school age kids but my granddaughters all had a favorite 5th grade teacher who still works at the same school. I bet she would love one, too. Thank you for sharing.

  8. This basket is loaded with great things the teachers will love. The teachers love to receive things like this!

  9. I would add a thermal coffee mug and some sugar-free snacks. Sometimes teachers are rushed to enjoy their own lunch because of interruptions from students and parents and other teachers

  12. Schools started up around here last week, and my 4 year old's pre-K program started along with his speech therapy. The most requested items I get are tissues and baby wipes to help clean hands since there isn't a sink close to the classroom, so I made sure to bring a bunch by already to start out the year!

  32. What an excellent idea about the items in a gift basket. In my country, we do give gift baskets on holidays for teachers but I don't think we give sanity baskets - lol

  44. I used to be a teacher. And this is such an amazingly cool idea. I am not sure I would have wanted the chocolates based upon personal candy preferences and the fact that I used to get tons of them all year long. But the rest, I remember so many different reasons for why I wanted those things. I am sure your kid's teachers love you.

    ReplyDelete
