Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to be going to see It this weekend. Should be interesting, and I'll probably do a blog post about it, because these type of movies TERRIFY me. But my daughter wants to see it. And if she can do it, I can do it. Right?

....to hope everyone on the east coast is doing okay after the hurricane.

....to not really care who wins Big Brother. I'm not really a fan of anyone in the house. I never was. Then Julie made an announcement about a celebrity Big Brother and I thought there would be ACTUAL celebrities, but it's just past Big Brother players. Boring. But I'll probably still watch.

....to have had fun checking out the Spirit Halloween store. They have a Hocus Pocus section!

....to be proud of my daughter for being a creepy clown for Halloween even if some of her friends think it's weird. I'm glad she has her own mind.

....to have gone and picked up my first pumpkin spice frappuccino of the season. I get it cream based since I don't like coffee, with non fat milk to help cut the calories. Sometimes I get it without whipped cream, but I felt like whipped cream.

  2. I hate horror films, especially super creepy ones! The only films I like in this genre are those more suspenseful like "What Lies Beneath" or "World War Z" or goofy funny ones like "Young Frankenstein". :D

I noticed your post with the photos of your daughter as a "Creepy Clown" in my inbox but haven't made it over before now. I'll definitely take a peek next.

East Tennessee didn't get blown away by Irma. We got some rain but no torrential downpours. Thank the good Lord! My heart is heavy for the folks in Florida. The photos are difficult to look at with so much destruction left in Irma's wake. Saying prayers for all!

Halloween shops are beginning to pop up around town. I've never been big into this holiday. The only thing I really like about it is the candy. At one time I was a huge candy eater. I loved it the best of all sweets but that's changed the older I get. I now prefer ice cream and baked items more over candy. I'll probably make homemade caramels for Halloween, so we can dip apple slices in it since caramel apples are too messy and difficult to eat. Mmm, I might coat some of the caramel in chocolate! Doesn't that sound good?

I'm not sure if okay to NOT like coffee. I'm gonna have to think about that one. lol WOW, that one really blew my mind away! I know in my early years I did not like the taste of coffee, either. I've always like the smell, though. However, after I began working things changed and now I'm a coffee hound! You got me wanting a pumpkin spice latte now. It's a good thing I have the stuff to make it whenever I darn please, too. :)

Thanks for hosting the fun and have an Okay day!

  3. I did see a review of IT at the morning show on Saturday and it did look terrifying, especially because it is with children. I am not sure if I would have the courage to watch it.

  6. Oh my gosh, this season of Big Brother has been awful imo! And what the heck about Celebrity Big Brother, I also thought it would be more like the UK version :/

  7. We just saw IT this past weekend! Loved it! And I love that your daughter wants to be a creepy clown, regardless of what her friends think. Raising our children to have a mind of their own and then seeing them put that to work is wonderful! And I totally agree, I LOVE going to our Spirit Halloween store - sooo fun!

  9. Paul is going to win. So lame!!!

I tried to watch It illegally haha and I just couldn't get into it. The original miniseries was so much better. There is no Pennywise like Tim Curry.

  17. I hope everything is now okay from those who suffered the hurricane. I heard also that storms hit Asia.
Also, I am no longer updated on Big Brother's show so I don't care who will won either. Never tried the pumpkin flavor too, its just in time for the Halloween. - ANOSA

  27. Ha, what a fun post. It is so incredibly important to embrace their own personal quirks and do what makes them happy as long as they aren't hurting anyone else. It was my bday last weekend and all I wanted to do was sleep--it was bliss!
