**I was sent a Star Shower Window Wonderland and a Star Shower Slide Show in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own. No other compensation was exchanged.**
I am all about the easy. So when it comes time to decorate the yard for Christmas, I don't want to spend hours hanging lights. Neither does my husband. So we've stopped hanging lights because, you know, life is short, and if you don't wanna, you don't have to. However, we do decorate the yard in OTHER ways.
If you're all about the easy, here are some ideas!
1. Buy ornaments on clearance and hang on a tree:
I bought these for 50% off last year so if something happens to one, I don't worry about it. The candy cane was only .98 cents. If you don't have a tree, put the ornaments on a bush. If you don't have a bush, well, lucky you, you don't have to maintain nonsense. (I am terrible with yard stuff. I have a black thumb.)
2. Get a Star Shower Window Wonderland over at buywindowwonderland.com!
It's incredibly simple to set up. You just tape up the screen (the box comes with it, plus the tape!), plug in the projector, and pick which of the 6 movies you want to feature. This would be perfect if you live in an apartment and don't have a yard to decorate too.
A small neighborhood kid asked, "Is that really Santa in your window?" Why yes, yes it is.
(Yes, we need to trim our bushes.)
3. Pick up a Star Shower! These things were all the rage a few years ago because they make life simple. We have ours facing the tree so it looks like sparkles everywhere.
4. Purchase an inflatable!
We've had this one for years so we definitely got our money's worth. Granted, we have to remind the neighborhood kids not to touch the penguins, because they do pop out, and kids want to hug them.
5. You can get a Star Shower Slide Show at buyslideshow.com. This one comes with 12 slides, and they're not only for Christmas so you get your money's worth. It's under $40, so it's the perfect decoration.
We are so putting this out for birthdays, because yes, they have a balloon slide. It takes minutes to set up.
This Santa is from the slide and as you see, we put the Snowman projector up. He says yo. Bring treats.

So fun!!!! We are going to get one of the light projectors for our house and i can't wait.
ReplyDeleteWe have the Star Shower! In fact, Cassidy bought two and last year gave one to our babysitter. She started to cry because her father had passed away a few years earlier, and he had loved Christmas lights so much. Sob..
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I want all of this! We did finally get an inflatable, which was Des' life dream.
Omg! I want this! We live in a condo house/duplex thing now but as soon as we get a house, I’m getting this! Haha I miss decorating outside.
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa in the Window. I saw it advertise last month and told my daughter she needed to add that to her collection. It's adorable!
ReplyDeleteSO simple and great tips! I throw some string lights around my bushes that's it lol!

My next door neighbor has that Star Shower and I told my husband I wanted one. I love those things. We have a few neighbors that go all out during the holidays. One has a yard full of inflatables. It's been fun watching him start out with 1 and now it's well over a dozen. It's a must visit during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteWe love decorating during the holidays. These look like some simple ways to do it!
ReplyDeleteThe projector decoration that shine on the side of houses and garages are a really big thing around where we live. Really cool looking.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I've seen this all over our area being displayed on homes. I love that really, that's all you need! We have lights along the top of our house, along the privacy fence, and in our shrubs.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool idea! The neighborhood kids would love to see santa in my window haha!
ReplyDeleteThese are great ideas! I know putting up lights is such a hassle so it's great to find alternatives that are much simpler. I don't decorate my apartment since I spend the holidays travelling to visit family but I am going to suggest some of these ideas to them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the convenience of the lights being projected to the house instead of having to hang them everywhere. The slides also make decorating a breeze.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute that one of your neighbor kids thought that Santa was in your window. We love decorating for the holidays. Thanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo cool! I love the projection lights! This will be a great way to light up the yard with all the hassle of stringing lights!
ReplyDeleteOoops I meant without the hassle!
DeleteSOmeone in ou neighborhood has the Star projector. They really go all out with their decorations, though. They've just added the projector to everything else.
ReplyDeleteThe new spotlight decorations they now have are fantastic. I always wanted to hang giant ornaments from the tree in our front yard.
ReplyDeleteI have a Star Shower thing, and it has never been set up outside. It has ended up staying in the house and entertains the kids while the lights dance on the ceiling, haha! I do love lights so we're going to get some hung up this weekend, I hope!
ReplyDelete"I am all about the easy." Hermana, BB is soooo there. What a wonderful age we live in when the lights hang up and project all by themselves! Gracias for the intro, didn't know those items were an option. BB2U
ReplyDeleteThose laser lights are a fun addition to any yard. We are thinking about buying those. We currently have a snowman, tree, presents and Santa out in our yard. We will add more this weekend lol.
ReplyDeleteThe light projectors are lovely I keep looking at buying one but we don't have anywhere that we can put it as our drive is basically our front garden. I am struggling to find ways to decorate outside this year because so the way our house is but I don't want to look like the scrooge of the town
ReplyDeleteWe started using the projector lights last year. We fell in love with how easy and cute they are!
ReplyDeleteI really love the light shows! They are so easy and look great.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun ideas for decorating the yard for the holidays! I love it! Thanks for the great tips.
ReplyDeleteI miss having the big tree in our front house. We used to hang big balls on it and put lights on.
ReplyDeleteWe just spent significant amounts of time today putting up lights. I think this is a great idea and option for next year!
ReplyDeleteI love those ideas! I really love the Santa in the window. I know it'd help the neighborhood kids keep on the Nice list.
ReplyDeleteMy dad always has a hard time hanging up the lights on the roof. These alternative options are great ideas especially when the weather is getting cold!
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa in the window. How very awesome to see!
ReplyDeleteCool ideas! I am also after easy and cheap decorations. I like the Star Shower, I should get one!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about simplicity as well. We have one of those projectors and it beats having to help hubby hang lights. We were done setting up outdoors in about 15 minutes. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to try these projectors these year. It would be more fun to see all those colorful lights coming from just one source. It is difficult to hang those little lights and then take them down again after the holidays. I think this projector idea is more practical.
ReplyDeleteThat was cool!! Seems very easy to follow. Will try to work on these before the holidays
ReplyDeleteThese are actually great tips! The best and easiest one is Buy ornaments on clearance and hang on a tree.
ReplyDeleteI often decorate my home on the inside, but not much on the outside. I would love to have one of those fake Santa falling from the roof to decorate my front yard.
ReplyDeleteAwesome information.
