Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

.....to have had a lovely Thanksgiving. My husband was off work, so we went to my parents' house to celebrate. How was yours if you celebrate?

.....to have not gone out on Black Friday. Well. Not early, but my daughter and I did go out around lunch time. We earned that 20% off coupon at Target for spending over $50.

....to be glad I'm not the only one without a Pinterest tree.

....to have not bought much on Cyber Monday. I didn't find amazing deals. I did get a few video games for my son that were slightly cheaper, but that's about it.

....to have decorated the outside of the house. I only cursed twice!

....to have watched my husband graduate another flight. He's a MTI in the Air Force and loves what he does.

  3. Hey it's okay to curse while decorating outside your house. Because I haven't done any decorating yet and it's already December next week.lol

  5. I don’t do Black Friday or cyber Monday. Actually my Christmas shopping is already done, so I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the season.

  8. Congratulations to your husband. I don't have a Pinterest worthy tree either and it doesn't bother me in a bit.

  9. I BOUGHT NOTHING yesterday! HA! It's funny, my husband and I went on a SHOPPING SPREE uhhh last weekend and I am pretty sure EVERYTHING that we bought would have been like 50% off this past weekend but OHHHHH well, we paid for ... BEATING THE CROWDS? lol!

  10. Congratulations to your husband. Oh it's okay to forego after Thanksgiving sales to drive 5 hours one way the day after Thanksgiving to deliver Thanksgiving dinner to your elderly cousin and then drive 5 hours back because she misses home cooked meals. Yeah we did that, this year and last year and we'll probably do it again next Thanksgiving as well.

  11. I don't do Black Friday. Especially now that the deals are online. It's so much easier to shop from my sofa!

  12. I didn't go out on Black Friday. All I bought on Cyber Monday was 2 sweatshirts for my oldest (school uniform ones) that made them about half off with free shipping. Didn't really see exciting deals.

  13. It's totally OK not to go out early on Black Friday. I didn't either. I find that it's not worth dealing with the traffic and lines!

  14. I love the idea of making a "Hey it's okay" list... especially for younger people dealing with social pressures. I also don't have a Pinterest worthy tree nor did I find good deals on Cyber Monday!

  15. I'm so boring, I didn't leave my house for 5 days over the Thanksgiving holiday! no shopping for me on either days. We stayed home, ate a lovely quiet dinner with just my husband and the kiddos and put up our non-Pinterest tree as well! ☺

  16. I didn't see a lot of great deals this Cyber Monday. That was a little disappointing, but I was out of town and didn't spend a lot of time looking for them.

  17. I got that Target coupon as well and thanks for the reminder to use it. I think that today is the first day...so off I go now to cybershop again!

  18. My crazy husband went out on Thanksgiving for the Black Friday sales. I say it is OK to have stayed home without him.

  19. I was with you on almost all of these. I was also disillusioned by the lack of deals on the products I was considering on Black Fri. and Cyber Monday.

  20. I totally wasn't impressed with Cyber Monday deals this year! I also went out on Black Friday...but it was late afternoon when the crowds had left.

  21. Eh. I wasn’t super impressed. I think it’s just all become too commercialized and so there’s sales from November through Christmas and some of the cyber Monday deals were bad lol

  27. I wasn't as enthusiastic this year as I was during last year's Cyber Monday. I am saving for something big and hopefully I can get it next year at drop down prices! And guess what, it is perfectly okay!

  28. We don't do Black Friday either, well, I kind of, but I do it online. We did go out on Saturday though and bought a couple of things but that was it and that is okay.

  36. In Canada Black Friday and Cyber Monday just recently became an actual thing, and the deals aren't the best. For sure not what they are like in the US. So I didn't shop either! - Jeanine
