I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to be happy to have my kids home! They stayed with my parents last week. Well, my son only stayed until Wednesday. He doesn't cope well without his Xbox. But my daughter stayed for the week!
....to be thankful my parents paid for Natalie to have private swim lessons. She did a really good job and worked on her strokes and diving. Plus the turns. Her teacher even said she was good enough to join a swim team but Natalie was all, "I think I'd be too tired."
...to be taking Natalie to see Eighth Grade. It looks like it'll be a great movie. She's going into sixth grade, so we'll be at that point before I know it.
....to have finally finished The Handmaid's Tale season 2. I understood the choice June made at the end but still. I shouted and had a conversation with my cat, who was beside me. "But think of the repercussion, Max!"
....to have found a mermaid at the beach.

How cute is the mermaid. It is okay for me to smile at your post because I enjoyed treading it.
ReplyDeleteRight now I can only say it's okay to let go when my son is always grabbing the device I would be working on. I had to leave the post half for his games (that too on my FB profile)
ReplyDeleteNeed to read this Glamour magazine. Can you please share the amazon link or any other
ReplyDeleteCute mermaid picture!
ReplyDeleteThat's the cutest mermaid I have ever seen - not that I've seen too many but she's definitely the cutest. I remember when my kids would spend the week with my mom and dad during the summer. I would miss them but they always had such a good time and precious memories were made.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable mermaid picture! Right now I'm gonna say, hey it's OK that I'm not exercising right now because I exercised yesterday lol...
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture of her at the beach. I love having my kids home, I never get why some parents say they can't wait for kids to be somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of her on the beach. She looks like she's having such a good time. I have not seen that show yet but I have heard it is awesome. It is definitely on my list to watch.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to have my kids on summer vacation, too! I know a lot of parents complain when their kids are home, but I love having them here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Mermaid you found. As for Swimming I love it as well but like her no, team for me as I am to lazy. Talking to the cat I do all the time as well as the dog.
ReplyDeleteThe ocean makes a great background for your mermaid. A little break from the kids is always good.
ReplyDeleteWow... A great photo. She is def. a model potential in the future.
ReplyDeleteI love that mermaid fin it looks so real. I have to look into that show, The Handmaids Tale, I have not watched it yet.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have found a mermaid... Now that the kiddos are older. I prefer for them to be home. I start to miss them not being home when they go visit my parents.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you have had a busy week! I haven't got to the end of season 2 yet - we are little behind you over here.
ReplyDeleteWow, a beautiful smiling mermaid. You are a proud mother.
ReplyDeleteI like having my kids home. I laughed at the XBox statement...my 2nd oldest (25) is home visiting and he went right to his brother's xbox. 😂
ReplyDeleteYay for your kiddos being home!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to have the kids back! I think it's really awesome of Natalie to make the most out of her swimming lessons. It's pretty fun too. Love that mermaid tail of hers!
ReplyDeleteIt's so refreshing to see a post highlighting the things happening in your life that you're happy/okay with. Life is too short to let uncertainties and negativity ruin the beauty around us.
ReplyDeleteLove love love the mermaid, she is so cute. This can be a cover of a travel magazine.
ReplyDeleteI really love this post. I also love the photo with the mermaid tail. My girls love those mermaid tales a lot. Their cousin has one and they use it often when they're over there.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that mermaid tail! So shimmery and so magical... I kind of want one for myself!
ReplyDeleteI love her mermaid costume. My daughter wants one too. But, she's not good at swimming and I am afraid she could drown wearing it.
ReplyDeleteGood topic, I'd probably make one post too! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteMy kids need private swim lessons STAT!
ReplyDeleteThey were home from camp all last week and it was nice. They've been doing camp a lot this summer and I miss them.
