What To Expect When You Eat At Hu Hot

My family has always loved Hu Hot.

For those who don't know, it's a Mongolian Grill restaurant where you can create your own stir fry.

We usually just stick to the all you can eat bowls, but you can get appetizers and dessert too. I just find that the bowls fill us up. (One day I need to try the Sweet Victory S'mores. You can have your own mini campfire at your table to make them!)

Basically, there are tons of things available to build your bowl. Noodles. Veggies. Meats.

Plus a ton of sauces. I personally go for the spicy ones. Plus lots of garlic. Basically, no one wants to kiss me afterwards.

And yes, everything is labeled so you know what you're getting:

If you're not sure what to put in your bowl, well, there are recipe cards. Yup, you CAN get a gluten-free bowl.

Anyway, after you load up your bowl (sometimes people fill up two bowls at once because one bowl isn't enough to hold the deliciousness), you take it up to the grill and watch the people cook it for you.

Yes, there are tip jars out, and they are appreciated, because the grillers do an excellent job! Sometimes they even do tricks.

They'll hand over your creation on a plate, and you can dig in!

Also, they waiter or waitress will bring you out white rice at no charge.

I highly recommend joining the Hu Hot rewards because you'll get a free build your own grill meal for your birthday. Sometimes you'll randomly get free ones with the purchase of others too!

Also, if your child doesn't like stir fry, there are chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese for them!

Our family goes here often and always leave full.

Have you ever been to Hu Hot?

  4. Look at all the different choices. The closest one to us is over an hour away so we don't get to go often. One of our favorite places to eat at.

  5. I haven't been to Hu Hot in ages. Mainly because we moved away from the town where it was located. We loved being able to make our own recipes. We had favorite sauces as well.

  8. I love to go to places like this. It is so much fun to be able to pick everything out and just have it cooked right there in front of you. It's tasty and it's fun to see how they cook it up. Sometimes it's entertaining because the cooks make all sorts of fancy moves.
