Hey, It's Okay....
.....to be bummed that Stan Lee has died. He created so many wonderful characters. But I am glad he lived a long life. (He was 95)
....to have placed many orders for the Kohl's Veterans Day sale. (You could stack 30% off, plus the $10 off $25 order.)
.....to have a meeting with Texas Commission Workforce this week to see about what jobs would work best for Tommy.
....to be celebrating Thanksgiving with my parents, which means I don't have to cook everything! That's a huge plus for me since I hate being in the kitchen.
.....to wonder what is going on in the women's clothing section at Target. I mean? What is this? I thought it was a tube skirt but someone said they thought it was a top. Whatever it is, I dare someone to wear this to their work Christmas party and share pics with me. If you don't like the colors, there was one in silver. I'm not joking.
I hope there are wonderful jobs available for Tommy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea :) I don't have any posts I can link to this, but I think this is really cool!!
ReplyDeletehaha, I think it's a tube top? I'll totally wear it to tell you. (probably not really..)
ReplyDeleteSo sad about Stan Lee. And excited about your meeting about Tommy!
Heroes come and go, but legends like #StanLee never die! Don't know about that whether its an tube top or tubic skirt but I must say grey looks better.
ReplyDeleteI also was so shocked about Stan Lee like really, that made me really sad but it's okay.
ReplyDeleteI was so shocked to here about Stan Lee :( I'm a big comic geek so this has really hit home for me. RIP Stan :(
ReplyDeleteI think it's a tube top, but who knows? Those millennials wear some crazy stuff so I am sure one of them will rock it. I am super sad about Stan Lee, too.
ReplyDeleteKohl always has some great sales and with all the cash back it really helps bring the price down. I still have to go shopping for Thanksgiving dinner which I don't want to do.
ReplyDeleteI really love this series. I think most of us can stand to hear "Hey, it's okay" at some point in our lives. And it is horrible that Stan Less has passed. =(
ReplyDeleteI was so sad when I found out that Stan Lee had died, I 100% didn't believe it when my other half told me, he was amazing for 95 for sure!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I did not know a lot about Stan Lee It is still sad to see a legacy die. He was so creative and I wish that my kiddo would be as creative as he was.
ReplyDeleteI was sad to hear Stan Lee died too. Luckily he lived a long life!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that I am cooking this Thanksgiving, either! We are probably going to a family member's house, as well.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a tube top but I have one thought only whenever I see fabric like that with all the sequins - HOW incredible scratchy to wear for a night or even a couple of hours. My kids would definitely call that a waste of money. They are teens and would otherwise think it kind of cool maybe. As for Stan Lee we are all still mourning him but honestly I agree you can't be too upset because what a legacy he left!! And 95!! What?? I mean we should all live a life that sees 95 years of adventures and creativity.
ReplyDeleteOf course it's okay to be bummed about Stan Lee, however, I am just shocked at HOW OLD HE LIVED UNTIL! Just like Hugh Hefner!!! I applaud them and will forever!
ReplyDeleteI am not a comic fan but the characters and movies that he created have been so great. I would go to Target but maybe not for that item.
ReplyDeleteHe he totally true! I also celebrate Thanksgiving with my in-laws family so no need to cook but helping so that's still it's ok. I should also try this list this is great fun idea.
ReplyDeleteI am a Marvel lover and I am crying since when I gotta know Stan Lee died... In India we don't have thank giving....
ReplyDeleteI cook Thanksgiving Dinner for 16, but I remember when mom made Thanksgiving Dinner. I appreciate it even more now that I've been doing it for the last few years.
ReplyDeleteI went to Kohl's yesterday just to preview everything on my Black Friday list. Now shopping their online sales will be a breeze.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like that top. It would look cute under a black jacket.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Amber, you crack me up. That thing is actually a head ban (just kidding). I hope Tommy gets the best job for his personality.
ReplyDeleteMay he rest in peace... It is okay to be bummed! Likewise, I also don't know exactly what that is, but that's not much of a surprise.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice blog post. I really admire this one and I am gonna share this! Love it
ReplyDeleteI hope you’re able to find the perfect job for Tommy. I don’t plan on cooking this year as well. Hoping to spend Thanksgiving with my parents.
ReplyDeleteThat sequin... piece of clothing from Target is certainly interesting. I would have guessed it was a tube skirt, not a top.
ReplyDeleteNot having to cook everything is definitely a plus! That skirt is definitely colorful. I'll have to share this with my wife and see what she thinks.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree about Target. They have had some questionable "clothing" as of late.
ReplyDeleteStan Lee has passed. But his characters are immortal. The world is thankful to him for filling their lives with fun.
ReplyDeleteGood question, is that a skirt or a top? I would incline more towards a top, because of the "neck line".
ReplyDeleteI always love your 'Hey it's okay' posts! I'm not too sure whether that is a top or a skirt but it's definitely for the bolder of us to wear
ReplyDeletehaha, this is an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm super sad that Stan Lee passed away too--he's definitely left an amazing legacy though and all his characters will live on! <3
I can't tell if that's a skirt or a top either--kinda leaning toward top, but I guess we'll never(?) know!
It's been a tough week. The wildfires and shooting in California have filled our news and burdened our hearts. Then Stan Lee. It was like a kick while we were down. I'm focusing on being thankful but it's definitely got tinges of heartache as we move into Thanksgiving week. So this week I'm saying it's okay to be thankful and sad at the same time.
ReplyDeleteOrder too many items on sale- guilty of that! But if you say it’s ok, I will listen to you 😊
ReplyDeletehahaha! I have to agree with the Target find. NO NO NO please just don't wear that! I love this section, makes me smile when I agree with something.
ReplyDeleteI guess Stan Lee's grandchildren (does he have any?) would be so proud and blessed. I mean, having an awesome and cool Grandpa like him, with lots of stories is such a happy moments. He lived an awesome life 95years!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts...and yeah, those tight things from Target are whack haha. Though I still wish we had one in Canada! So "Hey it's okay, Target isn't in Canada anymore....'
ReplyDeleteThis is really a great idea, I have not seen one of these posts before :-) Hey, it's ok, Christmas is only 40 days away!!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping not to cook this year. But it appears this year that it's not going to happen unfortunately. It makes me kind of sad to be honest. Sometimes I need a break for cooking for Thanksgiving. And I agree with you that I am sad Stan Lee died.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a great idea. I like that top very much!
