I Resolve To Not...

I do this every year. I'm terrible with resolutions, so I come up with things I know I will NOT be doing. It's easier that way, trust me.

I resolve to NOT...

.....leave the house on New Year's Eve. I stay home. In my sweats. And at midnight, my entire neighborhood lights up with fireworks. I don't bother buying any. I can just stand there and watch from my driveway. In my sweats.

.....stop drinking my Diet Coke. People are all, "You should give up soda!" and I'm all, "You should give up giving unsolicited advice!"

.
....give up McDonald's. It's delicious. Also, Taco Bell is pretty amazing too. Most fast food is.

....stop reading. It's what I do for me time. I never get when people are like, "Where do you have time to read?" Well, stop scrolling through Facebook and you'll figure it out.

.....learn to be a better cook. I hate being in the kitchen. It's not for me. I tell my daughter the hope for good meals lands on her shoulders because Mommy has given up. She plans on taking home ec in middle AND high school in hopes she can do better.

.....stop loving Disney. People think I'm nuts for wanting to go every year, but you know, it gives you something to look forward to. Plus my son absolutely loves Disney, and it's so awesome to see him excited.

What do YOU resolve NOT to do?

  15. Okay, I will not give you advise . . . but I will say this. . . . from one soda drinking fan to another. I love soda, like it is my vice - I would rather have a cherry cola anyday than any other drink in the world. But, I gave up soda this past summer. It took a minute, but I have been soda free for about 6 months - and it makes A HUGE difference! Who knew there was such a thing as sleeping!?

  20. OMG, laughing out loud at your "you should give up unsolicited advice!" comment! So real in my life right now as I am pregnant with my first kiddo. I think we might be the same person because I could go to Disney every year too! I'm trying to figure out a time to go in 2019 with Baby Girl because it makes me want to cry just thinking about getting pictures with her and Mickey Mouse ... even if she won't remember a da** thing ;)

  38. The phrase airing my laundry is a variation of the idiom airing my dirty laundry, which is often used metaphorically to mean discussing private or personal matters in a public or open way. It's typically used to express the idea that someone is sharing details about their personal life, problems, or conflicts with others who might not need to know or might not be interested in hearing.

  46. The author expresses their understanding of personal resolutions and their commitment to embracing their interests. They emphasize the importance of self-care and happiness, and mention a tradition of enjoying Disney with their son. However, they suggest not making certain resolutions, such as becoming a morning person, giving up guilty pleasure TV shows, joining a gym, becoming a minimalist, stopping procrastination, learning a new language, giving up the snooze button, stopping binge-watching Netflix, cutting back on chocolate, and becoming a morning runner. The author emphasizes the importance of focusing on what makes you happy and not succumbing to pressure to change just because it's a new year. dui lawyer clarke va
