Torchy's Tacos Review

I am a sucker for tacos, so of course we had to try out Torchy's Tacos. I heard it was tasty and fairly priced from several people, so my husband and I decided to check it out.

The menu had some mouthwatering selections:

The fountain drinks they have are these and I admit, I panicked, because I need my Diet Coke with a meal. I won't lie, the Diet tasted odd to me. My husband thought his Cola tasted fine. Luckily, they DO have sweet and unsweet tea. The sweet tea was delicious, so I relaxed.

(UPDATE: Torchy's Tacos Tweeted me and said they have recently switched back to Coke products, so I'll have to go back and see if they are in!)

They give you a number and someone drops off the food. We ordered chips and queso, so that came first:

The queso was a bit spicy, and the flavor was on point. My husband agreed. We'd order this again.

Then our tacos arrived:

I got the Fried Avocado (yum) and Tom tried the Trailer Park. I bit into mine and was like:

The tacos had a lot in them, and honestly, one was enough for me. Tom said he'd probably order another next time. I only got one, because I knew we'd be getting ice cream. (Not from there. We went to ColdStone.)

If tacos aren't your thing, it's okay, because they also have burrito, a salad, street corn, beans...

If tacos ARE your thing, there are lots of flavors to try, plus breakfast tacos!

A lot of people go for the alcoholic beverages since there's a bar. They have a bunch of margarita options and signature drinks. (See those here.) I might try one next time since I know they don't have Diet Coke now.

Also, when we return, we'll be trying the Lil Nookies, which are FRIED chocolate chip cookies topped with powdered sugar.
