HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to think it's smart of Prince Harry and Meghan to step away. If it wasn't a healthy environment, why should they stay? The press helped kill Harry's mother and he doesn't want the same thing happening to his wife. I hope they'll have a healthier lifestyle now.
.....to not be surprised that Justin Chambers, who played Alex Karev, is leaving Grey's Anatomy. The show hasn't been as interesting to me these past few years. It's also strange that he's not getting a proper goodbye. He just left. Much like that sister in Family Matters.
.....to currently be reading Meg & Jo by Virginia Kantra. It's a contemporary re-telling of Little Women. I'm enjoying it so far.
....to have finally watched The Mandalorian with my husband. I liked it! I did think Baby Yoda was cute. Although I am aware it's not Baby Yoda.
....to love this hoodie I got from Tudorfair.com. I've always loved Tudor history. It's fascinating. The wars! The marriages! The beheadings! The king who was once tall and attractive turning into a king who is fat and stinky. Anne Boleyn is my favorite of his wives. I like her spunk.
1. I 100% agree with Meghan and Harry leaving that life behind. 2. I am not a Grey's Anatomy fan at all but my daughter is and she told me about this tonight. She's upset by it. 3. I am a big Mandalorian fan. Glad you liked it. 4. Hoodies are the most under appreciated item of clothing you can own.
ReplyDeleteI love this exercise...and fyi - while I am not so concerned with the lives of the "royals" I also think they can do whatever they want with their life. Kinda messed up that the press killed his mother (I know it's an oversimplification) and that they are being excoriated for wanting to get away from that environment. I'm also currently wearing a super cheap hoodie I bought and thats ok cause it keeps me warm.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Grey's anymore. Interesting that Alex finally left but weird there was no story around it! I have wanted to read Meg and Jo but I didn't hear very good reviews!
ReplyDeleteThe royal family always commands atention in fact and fiction. I do not have kids that would get Baby Yoda but it does look so cute.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree about Meghan and Harry. No one should live in such a toxic environment. I'm glad to see people taking their emotional and mental health seriously.
ReplyDeleteGreat for Meghan and Harry, but I think that Meghan is a bit more resistant to this kind of situations than Diana, as she is used to show biz. Great they will have a chance to slow down a little bit, they deserve it. :)
ReplyDeleteI too agree on the Harry and Megan issue. They need a break from all this.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I haven't read one of these on your blog in so long. I love them! I hadn't heard about Alex leaving Grey's! I thought this was their last season anyway.
ReplyDeleteI totally get why Meghan and Harry left and I applaud them for going for it even though the Brits are unhappy with their decision.
ReplyDeleteBRAVO to Harry and Meghan. They are doing what's best for themselves and their family and that's what's most important.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm pretty mad at Justin Chambers for just up and leaving. What a terrible way to treat his fans. He could have done the same thing that Sandra Oh did. It's very disappointing.
I'm interested in checking out the book, Meg and Jo, that you mentioned!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about how Harry's mom was technically killed by the press! That's a very valid point here with that situation. I guess for me, I'm thinking it's okay that I'm being more confident and saying no to people I'd normally say yes to. It's okay that I'm learning to love people from a distance while setting healthy boundaries to protect my own mental health.
ReplyDeleteI love Grey's Anatomy, and I'm sad to see him go. I'm honestly surprised a few of them have stuck around as long as they have though. I'll still continue to watch the show either way though.
ReplyDeleteIt is actually very interesting how the English press has been dealing with the Harry and Megan situation. It feels like their decision is much more dramatic that what Prince Andrew did. Or is this a way of getting the public's attention away from Prince Andrew?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad prince Harry and Meg took a stand. We only have one life to live and it better be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy The Mandalorian. It has a ton of action and a great story.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I love the hoodie. I have to admit that I have not payed too much attention to the Prince/ Megan drama, but I agree!
ReplyDeleteI watched Grey's Anatomy up until about the fourth season, and then it started going downhill from there. It should have been off the air!

I think it's okay that Harry and Megan moved on as well. They may have to deal with the family and their country hassling them, but their family and personal life will be so much better. I don't get why royalty still has any bearing on anything in today's world anyway.
ReplyDeleteI really love and absolutely enjoying reading this blog. Your idea of "Hey, It's Okay" is definitely a good one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI personally agree with you in regard to Harry and Meghan. Boundaries are needed and sadly a lot of people here in the UK have yet to understand and appreciate that. If they need to step down in order to be happy, then so be it. It's not like Harry is in line for the throne anyway, so he can do what he wants in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI think it's so smart for the royals to step away before it destroys their lives.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agreed with what Megan wants. They really know what the best for them.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I totally agree with you on the topic of Meghan and Harry. I have been sick the last two months and having a hard time. Not fun.
