Checking Out The San Antonio Rodeo

One of my favorite things about the rodeo is the food.

Behold the cheesy bacon curly fries:



Natalie tried the turkey leg:





If watching the rodeo isn't your thing, well, just pig out. There's also carnival rides. We didn't go on them this time, but we have in the past:







There's also shopping! And of course you can visit with animals.


We did go to watch the rodeo:







We also saw Darci Lynne. She's the one who won America's Got Talent with the puppets:




We ended up having a fun time. You should go in the morning, because by the afternoon it definitely gets crowded.





The Rodeo is from February 6-23, so be sure to check it out. The carnival, plus checking out the wildlife expo and shopping open at 10 AM. All military members with an ID card can get to the fairgrounds for free. Click here for other deals! There's also special acts in the afternoons and evenings.

    This rodeo looks very fun...the curly cheese fries are something I would definitely want to try! I have been to redos before but none quite that big.

    We went to a rodeo in WY. It did not have carnival rides!

    You can make the best out of any situation if there's great food around! I don't know that I'd so much be into the rodeo itself. But the food and people watching looks promising! I'm in.

    This sounds like such an awesome day out - so many rides too choose from and the great food all look like something I would enjoy. Though I'm not sure I would see the rodeo itself.

    Whoa look at that massive yumminess of cheesy bacon curly fries! That's reason enough for me to go to a rodeo! :) Looks like a great way to spend the day. I haven't been to a rodeo in forever.

    I would love to go to the rodeo even if it was just for the food. Those fries made me instantly hungry! And omg, that turkey leg is huge!

    We've always wanted to go TX. San Antonio seems like a great place and we've never been to a rodeo. Definitely adding this to our bucket list.

    The San Antonio rodeo looks like fun. We have a rodeo near us too. We mostly go for the rides and the fair food. I've ordered the giant curly fries, and it's enough to feed four people!

    Now looking forward to visit and try that curly cheese fries from rodeo. Definitely a must try experience. Looks like so much are going on in there and lot of fun. I just wanted to pig out and have fun exploring there.

    I'd love to go to the rodeo just for the food. I'd watch the carnival rides from far, visit the animals and shop a bit, but I guess it will be more about food. I haven't been to one, but I might visit it sometime soon or maybe next year.
