Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to think some of the people in my neighborhood are morons. They're still throwing parties or gathering at parks. If you call them out, they claim people are being negative. I'm like ??!! There's a STAY IN PLACE order. Stay home! Duh!

.....to have only been going out for groceries. I'm still searching for toilet paper. A friend did drop off some cheaper quality toilet paper which we'll use if it comes to it, but I'm hoping for the fluffier kind only because you tend to use less of that. I know my kids do for sure.

.....to have also gone out to pick up food for dinner. I am trying to support businesses by doing this. Sadly though, we keep getting our order wrong. I am sure they are overwhelmed, but it makes it frustrating.

.....to be reading a lot throughout all of this. I'm currently reading The Prized Girl by Amy K Green.

.....to have not seen Tiger King yet, but I keep hearing people talk about it.

......to be hanging out with the guinea pigs. Cheddar was relaxing with the Billy Madison Funko Pop the other day.

What are YOU okay about?

  1. Yes, we're supporting local restaurants as well! It's so important right now.

And we're having the same problem in our neighborhood. Hubby just called the cops on a group of college guys having a bonfire and drinking beers outside. It's ridiculous.

  2. I have no desire to watch Tiger King. Do you have a reporting line for people who are having parties?

  3. OMFG I WOULD BE SOOOO MAD AT YOUR NEIGHBORS! WTF is wrong with them!!!!!!!! NO. I am furious.

  4. People aren't taking it seriously because it hasn't hit them close enough yet. Unfortunately that is human nature, especially for younger people who think they are somewhat invincible. I hope that people start paying attention sooner than later.

  5. My husband and son (grocery store managers) and I am amazed at the people that just come in because they are bored. STAY HOME!!! I'm so annoyed at these people who are putting everyone else at risk.

  6. I am trying to also take out food, mostly Chinese, to support small businesses and restaurants around NYC which are really suffering. I am trying to avoid grocery shopping coz our local store is always packed with people

  7. It is amazing how dumb people can be and this is life or death. The Tiger King was a great series and it is a great way to pass the time.

  8. I know all to well on the people not doing the social distancing thing. My husband is handling the calls for complaints for our city and so many people are pointing the finger. He wants to tell the complainers to just stay home and not be a part of the numbers in the stores

  9. Thanks for this list! I'm OKAY with not getting in the best shape of my life right now like everybody else haha. Also, okay with taking mental breaks during work-from-home.

  10. I went yesterday to one of my favorite stores to look for toilet paper and they were pretty much out of everything they didn’t even have a cheaper brand.

  11. I haven't seen Tiger King yet either. I'm very intrigued. I'm currently watching Downton Abbey for the first time. It's also ok to not feel like super mom everyday. The tv is on a lot. And that's ok too.

  12. Yes, it's okay that today we are not yet okay. But, when we do our part, everything will be okay. <3

  14. Hey, it's okay that I spent the first week in quarantine coloring and listening to books instead of making the kids do online school! After mourning the loss of our normal lives, we did better the next week.

  15. Such a cute guinea pig! I'm on the fence on whether or not to watch Tiger King! We'll see....I'm on a roller coaster, but what can ya do! Hang in there!

  16. I love all of these! Definitely ok on all! I actually have watched Tiger King and it’s very interesting to say the least lol. I’ve spent a lot of time watching TV and I’m ok with it!

  17. Thankfully our neighbour isn't having parties, but he's out and about all day long and keeps coming home with different people in his truck, like wtf!

  18. I hear you many people are not following the "stay at home" rules. And like you still looking for toilet paper. I have been cooking a lot at home but have ordered pizza.

  19. There are still so many people out there who never follow order to stay home to prevent the virus from spreading. Let's be safe and pray for everyone's good health.

  20. Oh my goodness, such kind of people are selfish! They do not care if they get infected and spread the virus.

  21. He's okay to be a weird out by people than foward mass or gloves.

  22. I am reading a lot these days, too! I am glad for that! Reading makes me forget about these crazy times!

  23. It's okay to sleep into noon because there is nothing else to do too, right? Love reading these reach week!

  24. Yes, yes, and yes totally okay! All of the things you listed here is so relatable, on so many levels - especially with everything going on right now.

  25. Yes, everything there is totally okay! My husband is still working, so he's been doing the grocery shopping on his way home (don't worry, he isn't working in the medical field - he's not going from the hospital to the grocery store). That being said, every Friday night we've been letting ourselves get takeout from one of the smaller local restaurants - it supports them through this and also gives us a little something special to look forward to.

  26. I can relate about being frustrated seeing people not social distancing - what the heck! These are strange times.

  27. It's really frustrating seeing people don't care about each other in this time of crisis. I too feel furious that my neighbor seems to not care about what's happening. They still gather and act like everything is still normal.

  28. Like you I've been trying to support some of our local restaurants...Doesn't help that I haven't felt like cooking in 3 weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I am beyond baffled people are still gathering. I don't get it! Stay inside and watch Netflix, people. I haven't seen Tiger King yet, but I've got nothing but time so I need to get on it.

I hope people will have more discipline and sense of responsibility especially now that we are facing such a pandemic. Wishing your family a good health!

  31. Yeah, such a hard time. It's okay to not be okay in this time. A tough time for all.

  32. I love this! It's definitely okay but i'm still perplexed that people aren't following social distancing guidelines!
