I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to have waited in line to go grocery shopping. They are only letting so many people in the store at once, which makes sense, but it was the first time I had seen it.
....to still can't find toilet paper anywhere. Thank goodness for kind people who have extra. Otherwise we'd be jumping in the shower after each bathroom use.
....to have gotten some things for Easter baskets. My kids are older but luckily I shop early and had some stuff in February.
.....to wish the sun would come out. It's been several days without sun and I need it to get through these long days.
.....to have found these Coca Cola Tic Tacs the check out line. They do taste like Coke! But it's like a warm Coke. My daughter loves them though:

I am glad people are finally standing apart and social distancing in super markets. I just hope all this ends sokn and life can return to normal.
ReplyDeleteI am still not sure why there is a toilet paper shortage. It doesn't make sense to me!
ReplyDeleteI actually just wrote a blog post about Easter baskets. I know Easter is kind of cancelled because we can't spend it with family. But I still want to keep things as close to normal as possible. Both my boys are younger and I want them to enjoy the holiday and the meaning behind it. We are still unable to find toilet paper, luckily we got flushable wipes so that should help us for now lol.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my easter baskets! I am so not reader for easter! also, why is it so hard to find toilet paper?!
ReplyDeleteIt's also okay to spend time doing nothing and I just wanted to take time to remind you and everyone else of that! Hope you're keeping well. x
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a basket for my nephew on Etsy and had it shipped to him. I wish I could give it in person.
ReplyDeleteIve never seen that tic tac before but I bet they taste lovely. In UK it's not so bad wit toilet paper now. I would say it's worst with flour and other things for baking.
ReplyDeleteWe've been seeing the grocery store lines here for a couple weeks and I am still blown away by them any time I see them (or pictures of them circulating online). I understand the reason for them, but it's still so weird to see something so different from what was 'normal' for us, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI was able to get the last of my groceries to last for at least a month last week, so hopefully I can stay away from grocery stores as the number of cases goes up. And I have never seen Coke tic tacs before. I do love Diet Coke, so I'm sure I wouldn't mind these, but not sure they would be a favorite. And I have finished my Easter shopping.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this article. It's okay that, no one is allowed over the house, it is ok that I order from amazon and wear gloves to open packages. Also it's ok that I like your blog. Keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteI went to the store last week, and they were still out of toilet paper. They started implementing only allowing a few people in the store this week.
ReplyDeleteI found toilet paper today at the store here in LA. They actually had a fair amount! Want me to send you some?!?!
ReplyDeleteI think this toilet paper hoarding is ridiculous. Why are people doing that? My husband is a store manager and they can't even get it from the warehouse right now because people have purchased so much.
ReplyDeleteToday is the first day in a long while where it hasn't rained. I don't know if I'm okay with it or not. I mean, I can't go out so sunny days seem wasted right now.
ReplyDeleteI have not ventured out to the stores since March 13 as I want to avoid stores right now. I have asthma that causes me to already have mucus in my lungs so I do not want to chance catching this virus.I remember 2 years ago when my asthma was bad and I had a hard time breathing.
ReplyDeleteI also ordered a lot of items early and very thankful I did. My kids are older but it's still nice to give them a little pick me up with all the chaos of the world right now! Kelli A
ReplyDeleteThis idea is so sweet... I love any chance to be positive during this situation!
ReplyDelete... It's okay to take some time to sleep in and rest, even if you have goals you want to accomplish during this time.
... It's okay to step back and realize that rest is a reasonable goal, too.
Thank you for this. This is a sweet idea and very relatable.
ReplyDeleteIt has been the strangest week, and strange month... I still need to get Easter baskets for my kids and with everything shut down I just am hanging in there lol
ReplyDeleteI can't believe until now there are still shortages of toilet paper in your area. I mean, why people??! But, hey, it's okay. I wish this will be over soon...
ReplyDeleteI really hate going to stores now. It makes me too anxious and now that they're limiting the number of people I would get frustrated waiting in line. So I make my husband go now.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing social distancing in grocery stores and even in small shops. Lines are a bit longer now and slower even with the advent of COVID-19. People are buying in bulk because they want to minimize time outside. And yes... it's OK. ^_^
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that people are starting to follow and keep themselves distance with each other. Hope everything goes well. That Coca Cola Tic Tacs look so yummy!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope and pray that things get better soon. That Coca Cola Tictacs looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the Easter Basket! Usually we make it for our parents or relatives!
ReplyDeleteIt is the same over here with stores now - they have marked up spaces outside and inside and you have to follow certain roots around the store! It's crazy! But it is good people are taking social distancing to seriously.
ReplyDeleteIt's OK that the rest of the school year will be done online. My daughter spent her two week spring break doing virtual cooking classes and has learned so much. It's OK to admit that we're thriving in isolation.
ReplyDeleteI cannot understand the toilet paper hoarding either. The sun has finally started to shine where I am. It's nice to be able to get some fresh air in our yard.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely okay at this time! I don't get the hoarding aspect and people really need to pay mind to what others need too!
ReplyDeleteYes, trying to be ok! I don't understand the hoarding, but people are afraid. I am glad more people are practicing social distancing!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see more people are using their common sense. Having family in healthcare, the ignorance of people angered us. But waiting is ok. I only shop at Trader Joes, and they have it down. Others need to do what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteWe have to see things like it’s ok just make sure everyone is using rational decision over buying is definitely not something I want to see after this over.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are seeing the brighter side of this! I am too. we cant give into the negativity.
ReplyDeleteAmazing ideas, Loooveee the post. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a positive post. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that people are heeding to the social distancing policy. And oh, it looks great to have a coke variant of tic tac, checking that out soon!
ReplyDeleteYes this is such a good idea and fun linkey - I will try and join in when I can and there is plenty to be okay about right now
