So since we've been stuck inside, I try to come up with ways to amuse the kids. When the Universal Yums box arrived, I knew we could try all the different snacks for fun. Universal Yums is a monthly subscription service that delivers snacks from around the world.
Plus you get a guidebook so you can learn about the culture, plus fun facts and more! Since we're all homeschooling now, this could be a social studies lesson!
We were excited to get started!
First up were these Sibell Chips Saveur Vinaigre chips. They reminded me of the salt & vinegar chips we have here.
I am all about cheese, so I figured I'd like these Bret's Au Fromage du Jura chips. I did!
These Sibell Tube A Grignoter Fromage were also cheesy and reminded me of Bugles:
There's also sweets in the box!
This bag was full of caramels, tropical, peach tea and cola flavored chews with sour filling:
We also got chocolate. I thought it was bitter and wasn't a fan, but Natalie loved it. It's called Truffles Bar de Mathez:
There was a raspberry jelly roll that reminded me of raspberry newtons:
And we both loved these Les Sables de La Mere Poulard cookies. They were buttery and delicious!
We thought it was cool that it had info on the back:
So what was our favorites? We really liked the cookies. Natalie also loved the chocolate.
You can order your own Universal Yums box here. There are various sizes and pricing. We received the Yum Box which is $13.75. You get 6+ snacks and a booklet with facts and trivia. Plus free shipping. (USA only.)
There's also the Yum Yum Box for $22.92 and you'll get 12+ snacks, plus a 16 page booklet, added bonus content like recipes, and free shipping. (USA only.)
If you like LOTS of snacks, go for the Super Yum Box for $35.75 and you'll get 20+ snacks and a 20 page booklet!
You can get a box monthly, OR give a gift to someone for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months! Grandparents, this would be a nice surprise for grandchildren during these times.
Plus, as I stated before, this would be a ton of fun for a homeschool activity! You learn about a country (in our case, France) and you get to try snacks from the area.
So what do you think your favorite snack from the box would be?
Whaaaaaat!?! Now this is my kind of box, I could totally go for some yummy snacks!
