Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to still haven't watched Tiger King. I imagine my husband and I will at some point since we keep hearing about it. But right now we've been watching The Tudors on Netflix.

....to have been eating lots of chocolate thanks to Easter candy. I love Cadbury Creme Eggs.

.....to hope my husband keeps doing okay. He still has to go into work. He's a military training instructor in the Air Force so he's been with the trainees. They are tested for covid-19 of course, and so far, so good.

.....to still can't find toilet paper in stores. Again, we're okay since we have friends who gave us extra, but man, if we didn't, we'd be in trouble right about now. I still search fo some so I can help others and put some aside in case we run out of the extras.

....to miss going to restaurants. I have been supporting them by picking up curbside orders though! We usually do this on Sundays for lunch.

.....to have bought this fanny pack because it made me laugh. It's called Fanny Devito. Ha! You can buy it from www.thecrypticcloset.com. (My daughter loves the sunglasses from PacSun!)

  2. I miss restaurants too. And movie theaters. And breweries. And going to the MOA. I miss so much. I hope we can all go back soon.

  3. I don't plan to watch Tiger King! No desire to!

  4. We can't find toilet paper either. Luckily, my husband's aunt sold a big pack, otherwise we would be out. I searched so many stores. Also, have been loving the Reese's eggs.

  5. ....to use paper towels in place of toilet paper because that was all that was left at the store. lol

  8. A link party how cool. That's a first for me. I am not doing this challenge myself, so I didn't add one, but think its a great idea. Toilet paper is in stock in Japan again, has been for a while, but 10 weeks now of no masks or hand sanitizer. But that's okay, we'll get by.

  10. I am missing regular life. Yesterday we got to go to Costco and it almost felt normal for a bit. And I also haven't watched Tiger King. Everyone is telling me not to bother. I probably won't.

  11. I love all of these! But yes, you have to give Tiger King a try :) And yes I've been eating all the candy and I'm fine with it LOL. On the flip side there is so much I miss BUT it has made me even more greatful for what we do have.

  16. You have to watch Tiger King, each episode is more surreal than the other. I miss going out for meals in restaurants as well, but there's another month at least of staying in so...

You are not alone. I haven't watched Tiger King too. Most of my time is spent checking online meat and vegetable stores and see if they would deliver in our area. I don't want to risk going to the market or the grocery store. Sometimes, even touching the grocery cart handle gives me paranoia.

  19. It's okay to have a day where nothing gets done. We are all going through a crazy time and one day to chill and wallow is okay, just not an entire. week.

I haven't watched Tiger King, too but I heard a lot about it. We miss going and eating out in restaurants, too. But it's safer to stay at home right now and eat home cook foods.

  21. It's really okay not to have everything done. All things will work out for the better. <3

  22. I miss going out to eat as well. This making our own food stuff is getting really old!

  23. I used to love Cadbury's Creme Eggs, until they stopped using dairy milk on them - they aren't so good now it's such a shame. I watched the first couple of Tiger King episodes and I couldn't get into it.

  24. I've been eating a lot of chocolate too, but I think I ate less than last years, because I bought less and my kids received less Easter baskets.

  25. I haven't watched Tiger King and honestly I don't have any plans to. I mean I may watch an episode one of these days to see if I like it or not. I just have other shows I'm more interested in right now, and I've been really busy lately too.

  26. Try gas stations for TP. Twice my husband has been able to pick up a 4 pack at the QT near his job. The Walmarts and groceries around here sell out of it as soon as the doors open but not as many people check smaller stores.

  28. Although I am an ambievert but I miss chocolate, icecream. Going out and sitting in cafe, working. Going out for movies, eating in restaurant. I'm tired of cooking for myself. I wish all gets well soon.

  29. Tiger King is so bizarre, you can’t stop watching! And yep, I’ve had a lot of mini eggs 😂

  30. We've been missing the restaurants here as well. My husband and I have been ordering from a different restaurant for dinner each Friday, curbside pickup. It's a small way that we can try to support our local small business owners while also enjoying that nice touch of 'normal' in our lives.

    1. I love that idea! I think i might recommend curbside pickup to my family...
It's scary thinking of what quarantining could be doing to the small local businesses that make our country wonderful...With this, though, maybe we can soften the blow.
