HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to need to get my hair dyed but I'll probably wait until next month. The hair salons in Texas just re-opened and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
.....to have had a lovely Mother's Day. I didn't have to cook, which is always a plus for me.
......to be glad when distance learning is done. Keeping my kids on task is not the easiest.
....to hope I can pick up my son's graduation announcements and cap and gown soon. They were supposed to be ready in March, but with everything that happened it was pushed back.
.....to think it was cute that Mr. Business was learning about the Titanic. He's positively shocked over the outcome!
Happy Mom's Day to you! Mr. Business is the cutest!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds like a wonderful idea, in times like these I think we all need our version of 'hey its ok' because things arent the same anymore. But I am sure, they will be better soon for one and all. I shall also try and write my own version of this.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely okay to wait to dye your hair. though mine really needs one!
ReplyDeleteTotally okay to wait to dye your hair! I'm a hope dyer, but I do get my cut professionally. I ended up shaving it since there was nothing else I could do. It's kind of fun mega short!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea and Happy mothers day!

Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteBeen waiting forever to get to salon and have my hair done too..
Great picture. Glad you had a good Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteAny day I do not have to cook is a great day. It was sad we could not eat out on Mother's Day. I hope the graduation goes well.
ReplyDeleteI love the positivity of your writing. It is okay for all these things in life to happen or to wait for them aka your hair to keep you safe.
ReplyDeleteMy lovely hubby cleaned our house and we ordered some Olive Garden for Mother's Day. Was absolutely perfect. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I need a haircut like pronto but it will wait also.
ReplyDeleteMr Business is adorable! My cats mostly try and eat my books or close my laptop to get my attention!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely mother's day.
Love that Mr. Business was getting into the action with the distance learning. He's adorable.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers day! Here in Michigan salons remain closed for now. I am a hair stylist so I am eager to go back to work but also nervous. What a crazy time.

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely okay to wait on the hair! It is tempting to go get things freshened up, but I agree that it is good to wait a few weeks and see how things go now that everything is opening. I am totally in the same boat.
ReplyDeleteI really really hope school's are open in the fall. Homeschooling is NOT for me, and my oldest is very excited to start kindergarten.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok that I want to get another pet and name him Mr. Business. I feel like it's the coolest name ever.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the safety issue. I am delaying my haircut for a couple of months
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about waiting for a while before going into the salons. I'm desperate for a cut and color, but my health is more important. These are great reminders!
ReplyDeleteI love this! We are all going through so many mixed emotions right now, our worlds turned upside down in some cases and people are struggling. It's great to tell yourself it's okay. It's okay to not be able to get things done that you normally might. It's okay to have feelings and emotions you normally wouldn't. It's okay to be happy still and enjoy yourself, enjoy Mothers Day and what ever other holidays come during the pandemic. It's okay to be not okay, and it's okay to be okay.
ReplyDeleteMr Business is adorable and good on him for doing some learning. I don't blame you waiting a little longer, I think I will as well, but I want to see how things go first.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a wonderful Mother's Day when moms don't have to cook.
ReplyDeleteI do love this weekly feature. I too need my hair done...but I'm loving to wear all my cute hats again :)
ReplyDeleteI will join you with the hair dye! I dye my own hair and everything is still closed here in Washington for another month-ish- so all the dye at the stores are beyond sold out! I have 1 box of dye under the sink that I am holding onto until I become desperate haha.
ReplyDeleteMr. Business is so cute! I'm glad that you are waiting to go to the salon, I think that it is smart to be cautious! Our area is still on pause, and I'm okay waiting until it is safer to go out.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's day! Can't believe it's May already! Mr. Business is the cutest!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you had a beautiful Mother's Day! You have two wonderful children!
ReplyDeleteHello Mr. Business! <3 You are so cute. Happy mother's day to you btw! <3
ReplyDeleteNice knowing that everything is great, I'm very happy for you. Happy Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day! Been in quarantine for almost 2 months now and I'm glad I'm coping up with my family. It's really better to wait and be safe.
ReplyDeleteDistance learning is not easy I know x
ReplyDeleteI desperately need to get my highlights touched up, but obviously that isn't going to happen for a while!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your life is resuming to normal. I am pretty excited the salons will open up here in a couple of days. I need a trim... desperately
ReplyDeleteI desperately need to get to the salon as well. Like you I will wait until things are a little bit safe. Being flexible and going with the flow is all we can do :)
ReplyDeleteThese are such crazy times... I love your perspective!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Sometimes it is just hard to be okay with something and nothing more or less.
