Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to need to get my hair dyed but I'll probably wait until next month. The hair salons in Texas just re-opened and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

.....to have had a lovely Mother's Day. I didn't have to cook, which is always a plus for me.

......to be glad when distance learning is done. Keeping my kids on task is not the easiest.

....to hope I can pick up my son's graduation announcements and cap and gown soon. They were supposed to be ready in March, but with everything that happened it was pushed back.

.....to think it was cute that Mr. Business was learning about the Titanic. He's positively shocked over the outcome!

  2. Wow that sounds like a wonderful idea, in times like these I think we all need our version of 'hey its ok' because things arent the same anymore. But I am sure, they will be better soon for one and all. I shall also try and write my own version of this.

  4. Totally okay to wait to dye your hair! I'm a hope dyer, but I do get my cut professionally. I ended up shaving it since there was nothing else I could do. It's kind of fun mega short!

  8. Any day I do not have to cook is a great day. It was sad we could not eat out on Mother's Day. I hope the graduation goes well.

  9. I love the positivity of your writing. It is okay for all these things in life to happen or to wait for them aka your hair to keep you safe.

  10. My lovely hubby cleaned our house and we ordered some Olive Garden for Mother's Day. Was absolutely perfect. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I need a haircut like pronto but it will wait also.

  13. Happy Mothers day! Here in Michigan salons remain closed for now. I am a hair stylist so I am eager to go back to work but also nervous. What a crazy time.

  15. It's definitely okay to wait on the hair! It is tempting to go get things freshened up, but I agree that it is good to wait a few weeks and see how things go now that everything is opening. I am totally in the same boat.

  16. I really really hope school's are open in the fall. Homeschooling is NOT for me, and my oldest is very excited to start kindergarten.

  19. I'm with you about waiting for a while before going into the salons. I'm desperate for a cut and color, but my health is more important. These are great reminders!

  20. I love this! We are all going through so many mixed emotions right now, our worlds turned upside down in some cases and people are struggling. It's great to tell yourself it's okay. It's okay to not be able to get things done that you normally might. It's okay to have feelings and emotions you normally wouldn't. It's okay to be happy still and enjoy yourself, enjoy Mothers Day and what ever other holidays come during the pandemic. It's okay to be not okay, and it's okay to be okay.

  21. Mr Business is adorable and good on him for doing some learning. I don't blame you waiting a little longer, I think I will as well, but I want to see how things go first.

  24. I will join you with the hair dye! I dye my own hair and everything is still closed here in Washington for another month-ish- so all the dye at the stores are beyond sold out! I have 1 box of dye under the sink that I am holding onto until I become desperate haha.
