I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to have remembered the fallen soldiers yesterday. It seemed so many forgot and were treating it like a giant BBQ or sales, which is sad, but expected for the USA I suppose.
.....to be thinking of putting a ground cedar deck in the backyard. Right now it's just stones, and they look rather blah.
....to be glad that Tommy's high school is still having a graduation. It's smaller, of course, with only a total of 4 guests allowed. It'll go by last name, and those people will go to the auditorium at the school and the graduates can walk the stage. Masks will be required and temperatures checked, which is fine by me. I'm glad it's not just virtual.
....to be tempted to by The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (the Hunger Games prequel) but I might wait for the library to open. I have so many books! But I have no clue when the library will reopen.
.....to think it's cute that Natalie loves Tik Tok so much that she wanted a Tik Tok Jibbitz for her Crocs. (I believe they are sold out now. We bought it because the proceeds went to a good cause.)

Congratulations on Tommy's high school graduation! Glad to know that it's not just virtual despite the fact that the event has to go smaller. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Tommy!
ReplyDelete4 guests per graduate or total? Glad they've figured out a way to have the graduation!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying Tiktok too. Where did you get that Tiktok Jibbitz by the way?
ReplyDeleteThe Crocs site but I believe they are sold out. They might get more in stock at some point!
DeleteIt is great to know the graduation will go on. My son loves Tik Tok too and spends a lot of time making videos these days.
ReplyDeleteGlad your son can still have his graduation! Congrats to him!
ReplyDeleteThat is good that the high school is doing small celebrations. This is a hard year for kids and school.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely they have found a way to make the graduation work - I hope it goes well for your son.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that Tommy still gets a graduation! My nephew is a senior and they are doing a very small graduation here too, but only 2 guests allowed!
ReplyDeleteI’m happy that they’re still having the graduation as well.
ReplyDeleteVery fun! I need to remember to make a list of my "It's okay..."!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you still have a graduation. The best way to turn to normality afte this long quarantine.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for you and for Tommy for he still having a graduation ceremony.Congrats!
ReplyDeleteIt's always ok to remember soldiers who lost their lives. They sacrificed so much for our freedom.
ReplyDeleteI hope the graduation is everything he wanted, even if it is small. My nieces love tik-tok at the moment and it's one of the only ways we can stay connected with them.
ReplyDeleteSo lucky he gets a "real" graduation!! We're in NYC so still on lock down, but we've had fun cheering on some high schoolers who arranged a car processional graduation - the whole senior class decorated their or their parents' cars and drove them down a main road, all honking and cheering and hanging out of sun roofs. It brought tears to my eyes, so special!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a stone patio as well and are thinking more about going for a ground level deck. I love those Croc slides!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear that a graduation in some form can still happen. And I'm excited about The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes too!
ReplyDeleteIt’s okay, congratulation on Tommy’s graduation. Stay blessed always. (World in Eyes)
ReplyDeleteThere's so many things we can be grateful for. Congrats on graduation. And that crocks look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that your son's high school has found a way to still have graduation! Congratulations to both of you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea for a post! I haven't joined Tiktok yet... am I the only one? LOL
ReplyDeleteI like this idea for catching all the little and big things happening! So great you get to have a graduation!
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a good idea, and yes in a day or a week there are so many things we should just be grateful about that at least they are happening and its OK
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the graduates are still going to have that moment of walking across the stage. I can't imagine that a virtual graduation would be the same. I know that a lot of the schools around here are looking at doing something in the fall when they are able to get together again rather than just going virtual.
ReplyDeleteA smaller graduation sounds like a good choice. I don't know what our local high school is going to do, I think they are still trying to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your son still got to have a graduation. Congrats to him!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Tommy's graduation! Hope he still had a wonderful and memorable time. Natalie sounds like an amazing kid and I am so happy she can find something she really enjoys to do.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy Tommy got his graduation. I think BBQ is fine for holiday as well as long as you remember the fallen
ReplyDeleteTikTok is pretty fun! My kids often open my TikTok and watch funny videos. Those Crocs are pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat that they wouldn't miss a graduation ceremony. In here, all events are cancelled so it's a bit sad. Congrats to Tommy!
ReplyDeleteGiving yourself the grace to go through this exercise is so powerful and helps to contribute to a healthy mindset. One of the best lessons I've learned was doing this for myself.
