Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to have already bought some Halloween decor. Lowe's had some out, and I couldn't resist.

.....to be pulling out the fall decor to decorate this weekend. I am one of those pumpkin freaks so I am ready for fall flavors.

.....to be shocked that Chadwick Boseman died. He was well known for playing Black Panther. I was shocked when my daughter told me. I was like, "Are you sure? People lie about celebrity deaths often." But sadly, it was true.

......to be proud of my kids for adapting to virtual learning. My son just started college and he has all virtual classes. I know that can't be easy. My daughter is doing pretty good--she just has to be reminded to stay on task more often. Sometimes I'll find her twirling around in the backyard when she should be doing math.

.....to have bought these Mean Girls inspired Toaster Strudels. I love the movie and I love Toaster Strudels, so...

  1. Chadwick's death shook me! I had no idea he was sick. In fact, I assume many of us didn't because he hid it so well. It's so sad to think that he died so young. Cancer is such a tyrant.

  5. I'm impressed by any kid who can stay on task during remote learning. When I was that age, I would have almost certainly been doing anything but school work. LOL

  6. Online school is tough for my boys too. They get so bored with watching on the computer

  7. I'm so ready for Fall too, in Italy the fall craze is not a thing so I won't decorate my house or anything like that but my nails are a dark burgundy to celebrate

  8. I don't know if I'll be decorating for Halloween just yet, but I'm definitely feeling the pull to buy some Halloween candy. Losing Boseman was, indeed, very sad. An entire generation of boys and girls were able to identify and appreciate their heritage because of his character and the Black Panther movie, in general. What a loss...

  11. Two of my children are also doing virtual classes now and they are doing ok. The other three will start on October 5. Hearing about the Black Panther's death was shocking, too.

  12. I am still yet to recover from the news of the death of Chadwick Boseman and at the same time i am also inspired by the life he has lived. Battling cancer even while giving the world the gift of his talent as an actor, he is a worthy to be celebrated.

  13. Wasn't Mean Girls a movie back in the early 2000's with Lindsey Lohan?

  20. I love the carefree tone of this post ! There really are no rules to holidays , decor ,etc at this point , live your life! And its sad that Chadwick Boseman dealt with bullying when no one would have guess that he had cancer.

  22. My daughters are doing virtual as well. We just started the other day, so we haven't had enough time to really work on it yet. I'm hoping it all goes well for all of us. Also, I'm ready for fall too. I want to decorate already.

  24. I love Toaster Strudels but I always forget to pick them up. Maybe next time. :)

I'm guilty of having my Halloween decor on my front door. It's been up at least a week but probably closer to two. :) I was hoping it would send fall temps and I got my wish. It is in the 80s low 90s for a few days.
