I am all about classics, so I was always curious on eating at 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I knew the tables were set up like a 1950s living room, plus the dishes they served were classic. (Think fried chicken, pot roast..)
To add to the fun, the waitresses and waiters admonish you for having elbows on the table or not finishing your meal. (You can opt out of this if it's not your thing though.)
You need a reservation, so I made sure to have one of those.
Here is the inside:
Cool, huh? The TVs play shows from the 50s.
Here's the menu and you can also click here to see it:
I ended up with the Mom's Favorite Recipes, which meant I got the fried chicken, pot toast, and meatloaf:
I thought everything was delicious. My favorite was the fried chicken. The skin was perfection.
Yes, we opted to have fun with our waitress. She admonished Tommy for not finishing all his food and told him to get his elbows off the table.
We were all told to finish our food and Tommy was the one who found it the most hilarious:
We decided to get the brownie for dessert. We got the ice cream on the side because my mom is lactose-free. It was amazing.
Steve had fun watching the old shows:
Oh, and guess what? I finished my food and got a Clean Plate sticker. But only because I put the rest of my food on Tommy's plate, mwa-haha.
We would return! The food was scrumptious and we loved the atmosphere. The prices range from $15-$34.99 per adult. Again, a reservation is needed, and you can make that here. It's located in Hollywood Studios close by Gertie the dinosaur.
Have you ever eaten at 50's Prime Time Cafe?
