What To Eat At The Food & Wine Festival 2021

I absolutely love to try new foods. The Food & Wine festival at Epcot allows you to sample foods from different parts of the world. Plus drinks. I'm mostly about the foods. You'll notice that I only tried like two beverages. It's just, for me, if I spend money, I'd rather it be on food than booze. (And honestly, the drinks I did get were alcohol free.)

Now, a lot of booths are NOT open yet. They will open on October 1st. But there is still a good number of booths currently available and I'll be honest, we didn't even get to them all. Some were because of long lines (France) and others were because we felt full (you wouldn't think samples would fill up 3 people, but they will, I promise!)

So here's what we were able to try!

We started off with The Donut Box and tried the Crispy Chicken on a Sriracha Glazed Donut.

Okay, it was amazing. The chicken was crispy and tender. The donut was messy, but delicious. I recommend getting LOTS of napkins with this one and eating with a fork and knife. Things will get sticky. But I promise, it's worth it.

We headed to Flavors from Fire next and decided on the Chimichurri-up Offense and the The S'mores Whoopie Pie-lon. Obviously it's hosted by ESPN so it's sports terms, which mean nothing to me. I just wanted the food.

So the Chimichurri Up-Offense had a nice flavor, but I wished the steak was easier to eat. It was a bit tough, but the flavors were there. You just had to chew a bit. I'd probably skip this if I went back.

The S'mores Whoopie Pie-Ion was where it was it. From the candied bacon, to the chocolate ganache, everything was on point. If you like s'mores, get this one!

I was excited about The Swanky Saucy Swine booth. I knew I wanted to try the Crispy Pig Ear Salad. It sounded intriguing. Was it?

Yes, and it was spectacular. This was one of my favorites from the festivals. You get a lot.

We also ordered the Roasted Porchetta and yum! Meat was tender and the potatoes were soft. I'd get this one again as well.

You can also do Emile's Fromage Montage where you try certain things from booth. Then you get a complimentary treat. We opted not to do this, but if we went back we would!

China was next and we went for the Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings and the ZiRan Beef Bao Bun.

My daughter was obsessed with these dumplings. The sauce was a bit spicy, but not too much. These were Natalie's favorites from the festival.

The Bao Bun had a delightful flavor as well, but I didn't taste anything completely special about it so I probably wouldn't get it again.

A princess cavalcade came through so that was nice to see. You know they are coming because suddenly you'll hear tranquil music and people asking you to move to the side.

Germany always has some scrumptious picks and this year was no different. I will admit I could NOT pronounce Schnikennudien so when I ordered, I asked for the s-thing. We also tried the Apple Strudel.

The s-thing was a hit with everyone and we would get it again.

The apple strudel was good, but nothing too special. I think I was more excited about the vanilla sauce that came with it.

In Japan, the Teriyaki Chicken Bun was something we had last year and enjoyed so we got it again.

As we figured, it was fantastic. I was tempted to get that Kochi Lemon Drop but it started to rain so I opted against it. Plus it was $8, and I'm cheap.

We love the Japan area by the way. It's gorgeous, and my kids love the store. They spent most of their money in the store on anime stuff.

Greece popped up next and I knew I needed that Griddled Cheese. I am ALL about cheese.

Behold. And yes, I LOVED it. I would get this cheese again. On my own. I hated having to share. It had a savory and sweet thing going on. Get this!

In between eating, we did take breaks and go on rides. So it wasn't CONSTANT eating.

In Morocco, they have a booths set up in the Tangerine Cafe. I so wish I could go back, because there was lots I wanted to try, but I was getting full. In the end we went with the Fried Falafel Pita, the Pistachio Cake, and the Fresh Blood Orange Juice.

I'll be honest, I wasn't a fan of the Fried Falafel Pita, but my son loved it. He ate most of it. This goes to show that sometimes one person might not like something at a booth while another person is a huge fan. So always try something even if you hear it's not good. You might enjoy it!

The Pistachio Cake was not only gorgeous, but yum! Tommy wasn't a fan of this one, so Natalie and I polished it off.

The Fresh Blood Orange Juice was refreshing, because it was HOT.

Now, I WANTED to try some things at the France booth, but the line wrapped around and wrapped around again. So no. Boo.  I wanted to get the Beignet aux Trois Fromages. Because, you know. Cheese.

If the line is crazy when you go, head to Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in the back of France. The line was sort of long, but not as crazy as the booth. I recommend this raspberry macaron. We get it every time we visit:

And I tried this chocolate mousse for the first time and oh my gosh, YES. I will be getting this every time we visit now.

Our final booth was the Apple Orchard that's tucked away in Canada where they usually show the movie. I forgot to take a photo of the menu, but it's all apple based.

We went for the apple tart, which was just okay. It had a tasty flavor, but there was nothing spectacular about it.

This Frozen Apple Pie drink was also refreshing and tasted like an apple pie. I got this last year as well.

I wanted to try the actual Canada booth because their beer cheese soup is incredible. It seems to be available at every Food & Wine Festival but the line was also long. So we skipped it. I have tried it before and I do recommend the soup even if it is a billion degrees out.

There were at least 5 booths we didn't get to. Maybe more. But we hit most of them and loved nearly everything we tried. There's also fun Food & Wine merch stands set up if you want a spirit jersey or other items. Me? I'm just about eating.

The Food & Wine Festival runs until November so you have time to check it out. Be sure to pick up this booklet when you walk into Epcot so you can decide what you want to eat.

Have you ever been to a Food & Wine Festival before? If you go to this one, get the Crispy Pig Ear Salad from The Swanky Saucy Swine and think of me. Also the Griddled Cheese in Greece.

  32. Wow, there are so many delicious food choices to choose from. When we went to Disney, we opted for regular food and nothing from the specialty restaurants. But if I ever go back, I want to try more foods including the famous Dole Whip.
