Sci-Fi Dine In Theater Restaurant In Hollywood Studios Review

 It was my daughter Natalie who asked if we could eat at the Sci-Fi dine in theater restaurant.

"You get to eat in cars in the DARK and you are shown old movies from the 50s!" she said. 

"Let me guess: you learned about it on Tik Tok?" I answered.

She nodded. "And it looks cool!"

So I booked us a reservation and we went. And make sure you do book a reservation because walk ins are rare. It seems everyone has seen Tik Tok videos on the Sci-Fi restaurant. 

Steve had fun sitting on the car outside the restaurant while we waited for our name to be called. These are the same cars that are inside. Since it's dark in there, this is a good spot to take a family photo in a car. I asked my kids but they were hot and cranky. But Steve was happy to take a photo! 

It is incredibly neat inside. It's dark and there are rows of colorful classic cars to sit in. 

I let my kids sit up front while I was in the back.

It truly is a fantastic atmosphere. Plus it's cool so you get a reprieve from the heat. 

Oh and the food? It's basic diner food. I figured it wouldn't be very tasty but I was wrong. (Check out the menu here.)

I got the buffalo chicken salad and it had a delicious flavor. The chicken had a nice spice to it.

Natalie got the chicken strips and fries with fruit.

Tommy got a burger that was fantastic. He let me have a bite but ate it too fast for a photo. 

Natalie also got a chocolate milkshake which was a delectable treat and perfect for the setting. 

Would we go back? Yes. The video clips on the screen were fun to watch. It seemed they lasted maybe an hour before looping back to the ones we saw when we first walked in. Again, be sure to make reservations as soon as you can because spots go fast here.
