You Can't Just Have One Costume

My daughter Natalie has always loved dressing up. I noticed when she was one that she'd reach for the sparkly princess dresses in the store. I'd put one on her and she was transfixed. That was when her love of costumes and pretending began, I think.

Of course Halloween is the time where costumes are everywhere. But Natalie enjoys dressing up all year long.

She's owned tons of princess dresses and even got her brother involved in some cases:

But she has also gravitated towards the creepy.

All of these costumes sit in her closet. Well. The ones she has outgrown have either been donated to other little girls and her most special ones sit in the garage.

This Halloween she said she wanted to be Sarah from Hocus Pocus and we purchased the costume early on at Spirit Halloween.

But she had other options too in case she woke up on Halloween wanting to be spooky.

If she wasn't feeling the vibe of either, she has many other choices in the closet.

In the end, she did go with Sarah, and yes, I took some candy, because you know, the reason why she has all these costumes is because of me. So. You know. It's my payment.

Did you enjoy Halloween if you celebrate?

  2. These are great! I like having multiple options as well, especially when your doing different events and with the same people.. If they seen one costume, they need to see the others and of course us parents need our candy tax! lol Kelli A
