Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to not be seeing Dr. Strange In The Multiverse of Madness on opening weekend because I'm waiting for my husband to get back from deployment training. I'll get tickets for the next weekend.

.....to have taken Natalie to the HOA meeting because A) mostly she hates being at the house alone and B) to show her one of being an adult's annoyances if you pick a neighborhood with a HOA. By the way, Spectrum sucks so avoid them. I'll be writing a future blog post on why they are the worst.

.....to currently be reading The Next Thing You Know by Jessica Strawser. It's about Nova, who is an end-of-life doula. Mason Shaylor shows up for her services and then winds up dead in a car accident soon after--and it seems he got into the accident on purpose. His Mom tells Nova that Mason never had a condition that would warrant Nova's services, so naturally confusion arrises. Was Mason ever terminally sick? I'm on Chapter 10 and want to know what Mason's deal is.

.....to finally have chickens in my backyard. Yay! (If you're ever in Castroville, Texas stop in Haby's Bakery and you'll find so many fantastic cookies, plus other goodies.)

  1. You and Natalie can pretend to be in Gilmore Girls at the HOA meeting.

  2. OMG Spectrum is THE WORST. We have it here, and its our only option. I hate it.

  3. I am laughing so hard about your HOA comment and Spectrum. I live in an HOA community and on a committee which we had to find a new cable company. You are right about Spectrum. They wanted to charge every household a fee whether they used the service or not. They won't be in our community anytime soon.

  11. The cookie is cute, and it is probably good that you expose her to an HOA meeting now since most neighborhoods are going that direction these days. As a parent you are teaching her about the other parts of "adulting" early on, good job.

  14. I live in a community that didn't have high speed internet until last year. I switched in Jan and I love it. Before that the only option was 3gb DSL or satellite but neither of these were feasible. I'm so glad they added fiber.
