Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to have not seen the eclipse because I was sleeping. My kids stayed up though and got some photos! They said it was pretty. Judging from all the pictures I've seen of it, I agree.

.....to currently be reading The Last House On The Street by Diane Chamberlain. It alternates between 1965 and 2010. It's1965 in North Carolina Ellie is supposed to be a proper Southern lady. But she decides to spend her summer volunteering to register black voters. Her family does not understand and things don't go well for Ellie. In 2010 Kayla is still reeling from the loss of her husband who died in a freak accident. She begins to learn more about the neighborhood her house is being built at and it's not pleasant. I only have a few chapters left of this book and I am worried for Ellie.

....to have finally seen Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was entertaining. I'm not surprised that there will be another Dr. Strange movie. Also, it was nice seeing John Krasinski. Briefly.

.....to hope Natalie's last play of the school year is a fantastic one. It's Thursday. Friday, and Saturday. She plays Third String in Still Life With Iris.

.....to be proud of Tommy for finishing up Spring semester of college. He hasn't gotten all his final grades yet, but he thinks he might have all As. If all goes well, he'll graduate from community college next spring and then transfer to a 4 year college and live at the dorms. This is a BIG DEAL since he has autism, but I know he can do it:

  2. Last House was a great book! I love Diane Chamberlain. Have you read Necessary Lies yet? I'm reading The Book Woman's Daughter. It's a sequel to The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek and even better than that one. (And I liked Book Woman too.) Congrats to your kids on their achievements. I love the picture of your son. :) I didn't see the eclipse either!

  4. I hope Natalie had a great time in the play! Congratulations to Tommy for a great semester! I tried to watch the eclipse, but didn't stay awake to see all of it. The last house on the street seems like a book both my husband and I would enjoy, I just ordered it for my kindle.

  9. I didn't stay up to see the eclipse either. I was really tired the night it was happening. I did get to see when the moon was orange at least before I did end up falling asleep.
