So when news of the Galactic Starcruiser came out, I knew I wanted to go. But then I saw the price. It's $5,999 for the basic package for 4 people. (3 guests it's $5299 and 2 is $4809.) Wow. The average American can't afford that. What do you get for that price? You get a 2 night immersive adventure. You get all the food you want. Top notch service. (When you are given anything on the ship, you are told "my honor." So I'd be like, "Oh, can I get a Diet Coke," and I'd be handed one and I'd say thank you and they'd answer "my honor.")
We were only able to afford it thanks to my Nana Jo. When she passed she left money for family to make memories. This is certainly a place where that will happen.

Is the Galactic Starcruiser worth it? Well, I share the reasons why it was for us:
The rooms are fabulous. We were in the Standard Cabin but there are larger room options if you prefer (for a higher cost.) Some people have said they felt claustrophobic, but I thought the room was spacious.
You get to hang out with well known Star Wars characters. We helped Chewbacca hide from the First Order and had conversations with him. Well. We talked and he did his "aarrrr arrrr" replies.
Oh, Stormtroopers are constantly walking around making sure no one is resistance or hiding well known Star Wars characters. (Oops)
Secret messages are passed over and you have to find the other parts to complete it. It makes you feel like you're in one of those spy movies.
There is blue and green milk on tap. You can have as much as you want!
The mirrors in the rooms have amazing lights for makeup. So if you want to dress up for events, you can easily.
Hanging out with droids is always fun. This is SK-620. He's friendly. You can have conversations with him as well and he'll beep out replies.
The food is fun! This was served at dinner one night. I am impressed by all the different food selections on board. You will NEVER go hungry. The food is all you can eat.
Are you that person who feels compelled to push buttons in the toy aisle? Well, you can push all the buttons on this ship!
The ship is truly beautiful. I recommend wandering around late at night when most people are in bed. You can get some great shots. This is known as the Atrium. It's the main room where everything happens. ("The room where it happens, the room where it happens..")
There's Pog juice at breakfast! For those who have never tried it, you MUST.
There's a trip to Batuu scheduled and you get Lightening Lane for all the rides in the land. We basically got right on Rise of the Resistance.
The characters on the ship are incredible! Of course you'll see some well known Star Wars characters, but you meet others as well.
Bananas are called Long Fruit. This cracked me up.
You might develop crushes on some of the characters, because they are all fantastic as I mentioned above. Natalie loved Raithe:
And Sammie.
You will never be bored on this ship. (And yes, some might point out that it's not really a ship, but have an imagination, I beg of you.) There's always something going on. We were up at like 7AM and went until midnight.
If you love Star Wars and you're looking for a unique trip with family or friends, this is it. To book your stay or to ask questions, you can call 407-939-1800 from 7AM-11PM EST.

ReplyDeleteEverything Enchanting
Wow that package price tough, they make it so impossible for a budget family to go. But i guess a great experience if you are really a big fan of star wars.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a galactic vacation alongside family. It was quite beautiful that Natalie felt a crush on some guys from the staff (she is a teenager so I can understand how she feels as I was a teenager too) and also I am happy that the family bond was strong enough to not let Tommy join the First Order. Glad you and your family had a great time.
