We saw Titanic over the weekend! My daughter enjoys dressing up, so she decided she was going to put together an outfit inspired by one worn by Rose in the movie. She came up with this:
It's the dress Rose was wearing when Jack first spots her. And the one she was wearing when she was being feisty at lunch.
She had a green dress that she paired with her lace robe thingy. I don't know fashion terms, so bare with me. She had a lace skirt underneath. Then she had a red belt and a flower.
I shared on Instagram and 2 people asked where she bought the costume. I had to say that she created it on her own from all the random stuff in her closet. Shopping at Goodwill often helps to have bits and pieces.
Of course we enjoyed Titanic. Even her boyfriend liked it though he said it was heartbreaking.
Oh, and Natalie does have another Titanic costume that she found on Amazon. It's beautiful but runs small, so she can barely breathe in it. One day she hopes to get other costumes from the movie.
But for now, she can just piece together items from her closet. (You can get the butterfly clip that belonged to Rose here.)
Stunning job putting this dress together! Your so creative! It’s so inspiring to see people doing things they love! Thanks for sharing this with us!
