And Now She's Sweet Sixteen

Natalie has always viewed sixteen as a special age. I blame all the Disney movies she viewed growing up. It seems everything happens when the girl hits the age of sixteen. 

Did we have a giant party for her?

Um.

Well. She met up with some friends at Chuck E Cheese. 

You're never too old to hang out with Chuck E:

Her main gift was going to New York City with her theatre group from school. 

I'm lucky. She's a great kid. It was tricky in the beginning because she cried. A lot. She refused to sleep unless someone was holding her for months on end. My presence seemed to offend her on a daily basis.

But around the age of 14 things began to change. We became closer and she realized she liked a lot of the same things I did. Titanic. Gilmore Girls. Carbs. 

Oh sure she still has her moody moments. We all do. But for the most part, she's awesome. I mean, she picked out this Liesel dress from The Sound of Music as her birthday dress. Not all teenagers will do that. But she's always appreciated classic movies. 

She's creative and loves theatre. She's shy but lights up on stage. She's kind. 

And today, she's sixteen. (Going on seventeen..)
