We love going to the Majestic Theatre, which is located in downtown San Antonio. It was designed in 1929 and you truly feel like you're stepping back in time when you enter.
We went to see Hairspray with my mom and I mean, look at this beauty:

The show was fabulous. The singing, the acting, the story...Hairspray is not a show to miss. It's currently on tour so check to see if it's coming to your town. It's appropriate for all ages, so it's the perfect family event.
If you see a show at the Majestic and want to meet some of the actors, go to the back at College Street. You'll see a door with Stage Door on it and sometimes actors will come out to say hello. Sometimes they are in a rush, so respect their time. But we were lucky and got to meet so many of the talented performers.
Nina West plays Edna Turnblad and oh my gosh, was the sweetest!

We got lots of autographs from the performers. Have a pen ready and many actors are happy to sign. Be sure to say thank you!
We'll be at the Majestic again in June to see Hamilton and cannot wait. We'll be at the Stage Door again and hope we'll get lucky as we did this time.

ReplyDeleteI would love to see Hairspray at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio for a date night. The Majestic Theatre is a historic and beautiful venue, and seeing a show there can be a unique and memorable experience.
