Hey, It's Okay: 4th Of July Edition

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to not be doing much for the 4th of July. I'm not even preparing a special meal. I think we're having tacos. Natalie was invited to a friends house so she'll be over there but the rest of us will be home, eating non red, white, and blue foods.

.....to not be feeling very patriotic with the state of the US at the moment. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to celebrate when you're a woman.

.....to also be confused on what's going on in some States. Texas obviously has all sorts of issues. But I heard Florida has passed some laws where you can't use preferred pronouns in school and in elementary school you can't talk about periods. The problem is, some girls get their periods in 4th or 5th grade. What then? Type in "don't say period" law and be as baffled as I am when you read about it.

.....to hope if you do celebrate the 4th of July that you stay safe. Some people are crazy with fireworks. Don't lose a finger.

.....to have picked up this shirt from Amazon to wear on the 4th of July. It seemed fitting:

  1. We're not doing much for the 4th of July, either. The kids went to a parade, fireworks later, otherwise relaxing!

  2. There is always something to celebrate. There are some things we agree with and some we don’t. But we can always find some good when we look.

  4. It's such a refreshing reminder that it's okay to take a break, relax, and enjoy the holiday without stressing about everything being perfect.

  5. I LOVE your shirt! That is awesome. It is hard to hear about how so many rights are being taken away from people. And it is great that you do things your way - not every celebration or holiday is a good fit for everyone.

  8. I totally relate to your "Hey, It's Okay..." list! It's perfectly fine to have a low-key 4th of July and enjoy tacos instead of traditional red, white, and blue foods. I understand your concerns about the state of the US and feeling less patriotic as a woman. It's also confusing to hear about some laws in different states that restrict certain topics in schools. Safety is paramount, so it's important to stay cautious with fireworks. I'm sure your shirt from Amazon will be a great addition to your 4th of July celebration! Keep sharing your thoughts and experiences.

  11. There is so much in this wonderful country to be grateful for. I understand your frustrations but it is still the best place to be and I personally am grateful for it and had the most amazing of Fourths!

  12. I think there was a whole lot to be concerned about so I did find it difficult to feel as Patriotic as I normally do, given the condition of our Nation at the present time. There is still much to be thankful for and my DH Served in the Military 39 Years and made incredible sacrifices for our Country, as have many Citizens, both Military and Civilians, who have fought long and hard for the Freedoms and Rights. I just wish we weren't devolving like I see happening... we should continue to evolve in Positive ways as a Nation.

  13. We went and watched fireworks on the 3rd.

I agree that the US is in some serious trouble. Not sure what is going to happen but the poor just keep getting poorer with no laws or regulations especially on housing/food increases.

  14. you seem like a whiney cunt, but you don't look terrible. maybe a 5, 5.5 on a good day.

i bet you are really grateful for any cock you get, aren't you. how about i fuck your brains out, maybe smack you around a bit like a dirty whore, then ass fuck you so hard my cum shoots out your eyeballs?

maybe you and i team up on natalie, how about that? you can lick her sweet little cunt and make her cum a few times, then i will show her how the animals do it.
