My daughter has returned to High School! She never knows what each teacher will want, so here's some of the things she makes sure she has on the first day.
For starters, a backpack! She's all about aesthetics and loves the simple style of Day Owl backpacks. They come in a variety of colors and there's lots of compartments to put things. You can feel good about shopping at Day Owl because they build their products from recycled landfill-bound materials and their goal is to reduce waste. You'll find all sorts of sustainable items on their site.
Day Owl also has The Pouch in different colors and it helps to hold all of Natalie's stuff. She brings a portable battery to school, a charger, lips gloss, etc...this helps keep everything together.
See?
Pencils! It's good to have something to write with on the first day because you'll probably have to fill out paperwork about yourself. We find great deals on pencils at HEB.
Folders! Teachers pass out what they expect for class and this is when they'll explain other things that are needed, plus ways on how you can communicate with them. We found this cute one at Target.
Notebooks! Sometimes you need one for each class. Some teachers have you keep them in the classroom. And yes, some might have you take notes on day one. We find a bunch of fun ones at Walmart.
A water bottle. It's hot in Texas so we always have a water bottle nearby. You can find a bunch of them at Owala. They also have tons of color choices. Plus neat superhero ones.
Always show up with the basics and you can add on as needed! Sometimes you'll luck out and find a bunch of stuff on clearance.
Here's to an amazing school year.
She looks so much like you with the red hair color! I remember when she was a baby <3
ReplyDeleteI always loved to start the school year with new notebooks. It's like a fresh start!
ReplyDeleteAww, I love your daughters red hair color, so cute! And lots of great stuff for back to school here!
ReplyDeleteThe first day of the school year is usually a day of the unknown, you don't what teachers you will have, who will be in your class, what supplies each teacher may want you to have. I hope she has a good year as I hope all children will have
ReplyDeleteMy boys use mechanical pencils at school. So I always buy plenty of those.
ReplyDeleteThese look like such great items for school. I'm loving the pencils. I've always loved BIC, and those look great.
ReplyDeleteAw her hair is so gorgeous- she killed that backpack photo. Great products mentioned here.

ReplyDeleteShe definitely looks like she is all ready to head back to school.. love her outfit and that backpack too
ReplyDeleteMy kids would love these items for school, they look so useful. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI bought my son a kit full of school supplies. I’ve found that it is easier and just as cost effective to order the kits. I did get him a new backpack and water bottle. I found a backpack that is made for laptops and he can even lock the backpack too.
ReplyDeleteThese are great picks. I love the water bottle because you can get it in so many fun styles!
ReplyDeleteThese are usually the items I get my daughters for back to school as well. It can be harder with kids in high school since you don't exactly know what you need because of the classes.
ReplyDeleteI ended up buying the PTA pack for my son this year. I’m not sure they will offer it for the high school level. It does make getting everything so much easier. I do need to get him some mechanical pencils still. He prefers those over the other ones.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great back pack. We're in the process of getting organised and have still a lot to buy. The notebooks are super cute that you've picked
ReplyDeleteI just ordered the same pack of pencils. Been using BIC for years and we're pretty much happy with its quality.
ReplyDeleteThe back pack sound so wonderful. I would have to order one for my son, so he can use it for college. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat recommendations! The Day Owl Pouch is a great idea and not one I would've thought of, definitely helps keep the smaller items together without the bulk of a purse or something additional to carry around.
ReplyDeleteThat pouch looks super handy to store all of your little stuff and not get lost! Great organization.
ReplyDeleteShe's so beautiful and yes, she looks like she is ready to head back to school. Have a safe back to school year. I really like that backpack and the Owala water bottle.
ReplyDeleteThis is a much shorter list than what the school gave us for our daughter, but she's in elementary school so she needs all the crayons, markers, glue, etc!
ReplyDeleteA water bottle is a much have for the new school year! This is a good basic list.
ReplyDeleteI remember my school years with warmth. It was easy for me to study there, unlike at the university. That's why I started using ghostwriter services to keep up with writing assignments. Thanks to outside help, I successfully passed my dissertation last year. The writers also helped me with my essay.
ReplyDeletei am doing some purchases as well now for off to college for my daughter and will refer to this list as well for sure
