I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to be moving Tommy into his dorm TOMORROW. We have a pile of stuff for him waiting to be loaded into the truck.
.....to hope the person who stole my husband's catalytic converter from the truck gets a horrible disease. My husband was at work, came out, started his truck, it sounded extra noisy and then realized what happened. Vehicles can still run without catalytic converters but they'll just be loud and air isn't filtered as before.
.....to be glad that USAA made their assessment quickly so now we just need to bring in the truck to get a new catalytic converter and add measures to help it not get stolen again.
.....to hope Tommy has the best experience at college and hope his roommates are kind. And not loud. Luckily he has his own room but he has a shared living space and kitchenette with 3 other guys. I imagine he'll mostly be in his room. But I'll miss him so much!
In two weeks we take Gabbie to college. I am with you!
ReplyDeleteCollege isn't something I know anything about as I didn't go to one, wasn't expected which is good as I am not a smart person. None of my girls went to Uni which is what you call college either.
ReplyDeleteWe also have a problem with thugs stealing the converters. The problem lies with the companies that buy them from the thugs.
ReplyDeleteI have heard about people stealing converters a lot lately. It's so sad that anyone needs to even do that. I'm so sorry that happened to your husband.
ReplyDeleteTommy was 10 like last year -- at least it feels this way. I can't believe how much time flies.
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy about the converter! How annoying and what a strange world that it is something we have to worry about. Hope everything goes well for Tommy!
ReplyDeleteIt's so annoying to have these stealers around. They make other's lives problematic
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the catalytic convertor. That's not a good surprise.
ReplyDeleteWow, can't believe that Tommy is now on college. I hope he will enjoy his college life.
ReplyDeleteTime flies so fast, can’t believe tommy is now in College. Hoping that he will get a awesome experience in college
ReplyDeleteTime is going by so fast, I can't believe he's already all moved in!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad for Tommy for his new start! I wish him all the best and a lot a lot of beautiful memories!
ReplyDeleteI hope Tommy has a great start to college! My daughter is starting 8th grade and likes to remind me how fast time goes and soon enough she'll be off to college.
ReplyDeleteYour candid sharing about Tommy moving into his dorm, the unfortunate incident with the catalytic converter, and your hopes for his college experience are relatable and heartfelt. Wishing Tommy all the best and sending positive vibes your way! 🚚📦🎓
ReplyDeleteI hope Tommy enjoys college in all its aspects. It's really a wonder how time flies...mine are moving out and I can't help but long for their childhood.
ReplyDeleteI hope Tommy survived his first week away at college. I’m sorry your husband had to go through having his truck vandalized. I’ve heard so many horror stories with people stealing kias and Hyundais too. They are calling the thieves the Kia boys.
