Tommy came home for Labor Day weekend and it was incredible! He has been living in the college dorm for a few weeks and it's been adjustment not having him home. Here are some things that might happen when your college kid returns:
When your college kid comes home, they'll want their favorite foods so you'll take them. After all, college cafe food might get boring after a while. One of Tommy's favorite spots is McDonalds:
And Texas Roadhouse:
When your college kid comes home, expect to see dirty laundry. Sometimes the machines at college are constantly in use or not that great:
When your college kid comes home, they'll return to their seat in the vehicle. And not only the vehicle, but at the table as well. You know, that spot that has become weirdly empty?
When your college kid comes home, it'll be hard to say goodbye. Suddenly their room is empty again:
But you know they are where they're supposed to be and look forward when you'll see them again:
Since going to college isn't something anyone in my family has done, I have no idea how you must feel but the mum in me gets the joy of seeing one's child again
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing! I bet the laundry is a whole task.
