Elf Doughnuts At Krispy Kreme

We love the movie Elf and watch it every year. Some movie theaters even show it, so we take advantage. At Flix Brewhouse they have multiple showings of Elf and naturally we buy tickets. If you've never seen Elf, it's stars Will Ferrel as an elf from the North Pole who heads to NYC to find his father. 

I promise. It's hilarious. 

So when I heard Krispy Kreme had Elf themed doughnuts, I knew we had to get them. I mean, for starters, look at the box:

And yes, we have a talking Buddy the Elf doll and a Buddy the Elf dog. Because. You know. The movie is fabulous. 

So what do the doughnuts look like?

There are actually 4 themed doughnuts. The 4th looks like that Santa doughnut in the lower right hand corner of the box. But it's filled with Cookies N Kreme filling and I'm not a huge fan of that, so we passed. But it's still cute. 

So first up is the Buddy Snow Globe doughnut. It's the glazed doughnut covered in blue icing and white sprinkles. Topped with a Buddy the Elf chocolate piece:

Next up is Christmas Lights glazed doughnut topped with chocolate and green icing, plus sprinkles. Finished off with a fun Santa! I Know Him! chocolate piece: (Fun fact: that's one of my fave parts in the whole movie):

Finally, there's the  Buddy Makes Breakfast doughnut and whew, this one is sweet. It's a glazed doughnut topped with cake batter buttercream, milk chocolate candies, sprinkles, and a maple drizzle:

I absolutely loved these and am impressed with the designs and as I mentioned, the box is fabulous. I'd say my fave was the chocolate one, but all were tasty:
