Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to have gone to see Wonka and enjoyed it. I am all about it being a musical but I guess some people were surprised to see so many songs in the movie. Have they never seen the original movie from the 70s?

......to can't believe they let that jerk host the Golden Globes. I'm not even going to write his name down, but he basically made horrible (sexist) jokes and then blamed the writers when they bombed.

.....to currently be reading Hello Stranger by Katherine Center. It's about Sadie, who is a struggling artist who might finally be getting her big break: she's a finalist in a national portrait competition. If she wins, she gets $10000, which is desperately needed. She's sort of told her dad that she's more successful than she really is, so she MUST win. But then she finds out she has a condition where she can't see human faces--so how will she possibly win the competition if all the faces she sees looks like a puzzle? I am not quite finished with this but I am liking the story and hoping Sadie will be okay!

.....to be going to see the new Mean Girls soon. For those who don't know, that is also a musical, based off the Broadway show, so it won't be exactly like the movie. It comes out Friday, but we might not see it until next week to let the crowds die down.

....to be sad that we had to drop Tommy back of at college after winter break. I love when he's home. He might be coming back for the weekend though since school doesn't technically restart until Monday but he had to go earlier since he's making a movie with the film club.

  1. A national portrait competition finalist. If she wins, she will receive $100,000, which she sorely needs. She's basically informed her father that she's more successful than she is, so she MUST win.Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Keep up the good job! Continue to spread the word. 7. I love how excited Tommy always seems to look about life when you catch a snap of him. Makes me smile back! I can definitely understand feeling sad to watch any of our (not so little any more) ones go for whatever reasons.

  8. I just took my daughter back to school. Sending you a virtual hug as you bid farewell to Tommy – it's never easy saying goodbye after having them home.

  9. We really wanted to see Wonka but somehow missed the opportunity this break.. so hopefully when my son is back for spring break, we will watch it elsewhere (or if still running in a theater near me then..)
