I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to have not been able to see much of the eclipse due to cloud cover. I could see snippets of it, and it did get dark, so that was neat.
......to be glad I got to see Tommy's play over the weekend at his college. Everyone did amazing!
......to have gone on a date with Tom over the weekend to a Brazilian steakhouse called Braseo and ate so much meat and warmed pineapple with cinnamon.
.....to absolutely LOVE this dedication in Next of Kin by Hannah Bonam-Young. I so agree. Jess was the best. If you have no idea what this means, watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix. The actual book was good too! It's about Chloe, who has a drug-addict mom who has just given birth. She is in no shape to care for a baby so Chloe is asked to be the guardian. She's in her early 20s, so she's nervous. She has very little money and doesn't know if she can take on a baby. She discovers there's a CPS initiative program that can help, and she's paired with Warren, who has custody of his fifteen-year-old deaf brother. They have to live together, and it does not go well at first. But then...Chloe begins to get to know who Warren really is. It was a sweet read!
I'm a Jess fan too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Gilmore girl fan I can relate with character in the show.
ReplyDeleteIt's totally okay to have missed some of the eclipse - at least you caught a glimpse! And how awesome that you got to see Tommy's play and enjoy a delicious date night at Braseo.
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit cloudy here for the eclipse as well, but I also saw bits and pieces. Sounds like you had a great time going to see Tommy's play - he looked great!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is so okay not to see the eclipse because it was too cloudy, at least some people recoded it and post it on social media so I have chance to watch it.
ReplyDeleteThe summary for "Next of Kin" has piqued my interest, and I am eager to delve into the book's storyline further. The dedication page you shared also made me chuckle because I immediately understood, AND AGREE!
ReplyDeleteI am with you and was OK that we had cloud cover and could bnot see the eclipse. It did get pretty dark but that was it. My dog did wine when it was getting dark... like for about 1mminutes before the peak so that was odd. I always love this post of yours and so glad you got to see your son in the play!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful thoughts. Being grateful for what we each have is so important for sure!
ReplyDeleteI didn’t get to go outside while at work to see the Eclipse. But it was eerie when it got almost completely dark outside. The store lights came on in the parking lot.
ReplyDeleteagree with the dedication!! and love that pic of the book (the rainbow captured as well)..
ReplyDeleteI love eating at Brazilian steakhouses! We only had a partial eclipse in SoCal, so it wasn't as amazing as it was for people in other parts of the United States.
