Snakes.
I really don't mind them. Well, the nice ones. The not-so-nice ones I'd prefer stay away. In Texas, you mostly get garter snakes in the yard, but sometimes rattlesnakes show up and it's like, no thank you, sir.
If you're in the New Braunfels area, there's a spot called Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo.
Obviously, you'll see many different kinds of snakes:
But there's also a petting zoo with various animals. We like the baby goats. You can purchase a cup filled with food for them. Normally you can go in, but it had rained and was pretty muddy, so we fed everyone from the fence:
You'll also find turtles:
And throughout the day they do shows on the different friends. This one was obviously about the boa constrictor:
There are peacocks walking around, and they're gorgeous:
You can purchase mealworms to feed them, which they appreciate:
Plus there's chickens and roosters!
Plus, so many different friends. We also saw camels, monkeys, lions, otters, toucans...and that wasn't even it!
Of course they have a gift shop so you can remember your visit:
Yes, you can have birthday parties there for added fun.
There are also private animal encounters & tours for purchase.
It's free parking & they are open during the week from 10-6.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults Ages 13+ $19.99
Seniors 55+ $18.99
Military $18.99
Children 3-12 $15.99
Infants 2 and under FREE
