Hey, It's Okay: Traveling To United Kingdom Edition

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to be heading to the United Kingdom on Monday with my daughter. I booked us a trip with EF Tours through a teacher at her school, so we'll always have a guide. We'll be there for 11 days. Am I nervous? Yes.

.....to love the history of the United Kingdom. We'll be in London, Scotland, and Ireland. Yup, castles will be stops, naturally.

....to be heading to Windsor Castle. In St. George's Chapel, guess who lies there? Henry VIII, the old fat asshole himself with his favorite wife Jane Seymour. (Plus I think 2 other royals ?) I have no respects to pay for him,  but I will tell his bones how nasty he behaved towards women and that Anne Boleyn was innocent.

.....to be excited that we're going to the Titanic Experience in Cobh, Ireland. We were supposed to go to the huge one in Belfast, but plans changed. Don't get me wrong, the Cobh one looks nice, but dang it, in Belfast you could see the spot where the Titanic was built and they have the last surviving tender that took passengers to the Titanic from Cherbourg. But it's okay. Cobh used to be called Queensland, and it was the last stop that Titanic made picking up passengers on that fateful voyage.

.....to be kinda packed. As I mentioned, the trip is for 11 days. I realized I didn't have 11 pairs of underwear, so I had to buy some. I need to finish up, because it's not hot in the United Kingdom as it is in Texas, so a lot of my items are sweatshirts.

  7. I'm feeling a mix of nerves and excitement, especially for all the history in London, Scotland, and Ireland. Can't wait to explore Windsor Castle and even check out the Titanic Experience in Cobh. Packing for 11 days is a challenge, but I'm getting there with some last-minute underwear shopping! Cheers for the tips!
