I always enjoy a good stir fry. Mr. Teriyaki just opened nearby and I decided to check them out.
They have a nice menu. You can get different proteins: chicken, beef, shrimp...plus they had sushi and speciality drinks like milk tea. They had delicious appetizers as well like egg rolls and firecracker shrimp.
There were also different sauces that you could easily grab, which was nice:
I ordered the beef lo mein and the chicken fried rice. Plus the spring rolls. I got a buzzer and waited:
The room was spacious and clean:
I only waited about 10 minutes since I came in soon after it opened. They packaged everything up nicely for me.
So did I like the food?
The spring rolls were fresh and crunchy. They came with sweet and sour sauce but as I mentioned before, there were other sauces out to grab if that's not the one for you.
The beef lo mein was tasty, but I prefer skinnier noodles. If you prefer the thick noodles, you're in luck. The beef was flavorful. Some pieces were tougher than others.
My favorite was the chicken fried rice. The chicken had a fabulous char to it and I absolutely loved the rice. All the flavors meshed well together and I would get this again.
I would return to get more fried rice! I also need to try the teriyaki dishes. As you see, the portions are huge--they could easily feed 2 people, maybe even more depending on how hungry everyone is.
You can order online and pick up if you're in a hurry, so that's another bonus.
So if you have a Mr. Teriyaki near you, check them out!
I love a nice veg spring roll! I'm a big fan of noodles, but I'm like you and I do prefer the thinner ones.
ReplyDeleteLooks really good! This is my kind of food. I'd love it if they opened up one of these around me.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a nice place. Do they have gluten-free options on the menu?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great place to eat. I'm not sure if there is one in my area. But if so I would give it a try. Thanks for he recommendation.
ReplyDeleteThis place looks so good! I love Japanese cuisine. Too bad they aren't in FL!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, we need this in the UK! All my favourite meats too... I'm hungry now!
ReplyDeleteI can eat noodles all day, every day! The food here looks so tasty.
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious. We have a few good Japanese places in my city too.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think we have this chain in the dfw area yet. But if I ever go to San Antonio I’ll definitely check it out. I wish they did mixed dishes kinda like panda so you can try more than one without buying several dishes unless you plan on feeding a few more people.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I’ve seen Mr. Teriyaki around but wasn’t sure if it was worth a try.Ssounds like a solid spot, especially with those big portions and quick service.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great new spot to eat in your neighborhood. I wish there was one closer to me!
