Did everyone who celebrate enjoy their Mother's Day?
I did!
My Mom lives 15 minutes away now so we get to see her more often. And Mother's Day fell on her birthday, so we had double the reason to celebrate.
She got two bags of presents.
Here's one of her gifts. She loves plants. I wish I could keep plants alive. She's amazing with plants.
Tom gave me some pretty roses:
Oh, and Tommy came home for Mother's Day weekend. He technically finished his semester in college Friday but he's staying until May 16th to finish up some things.
I'd like to say he came home because his missed me so much but I think it was mostly because of the Mother's Day brunch--he loves to eat--and the fact that he had dirty clothes. But whatever. He was HOME.
We had the best time celebrating with Mom. We brought her roses and this fabulous vase in the shape of a book, because books are the best.
Natalie actually made me a flower out of pipe cleaners. She said she made it colorful because, you know, I love rainbows and support her being in the LGBTQ+ community.
To the kids who do not have supportive families: I will be your mother now.
I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful day!
Love the homemade flowers!!! looks like you had a lovely day!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful coicidence to have your mother's birthday fall on Mother's Day... such lovely gifts you all gave her.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mum. It's great to hear she can keep plants alive. I'm hit and miss as some plants are harder to look after than others.
ReplyDeleteLook like you had a beautiful Mother’s Day! I wish I was like your mom, I can’t keep any plants alive lol
ReplyDeleteI got off work early. So I got to go to Walmart to pick up a few things we needed. I also grabbed a steak and a cookie cake for mother’s day. My son has been sad for several weeks so he was hesitant to cook me steak. He does it better than I do. It was delicious. It was just another day technically. But I’m thankful for all of my children. I had an epidural with my first, only iv pain meds so I could sleep bc I didn’t sleep well the night before, and third was a Csection. I had no clue I could do labor without an epidural but it happened so fast. I dilated from a 6 to 10 in minutes. All before the anesthesiologist could give me my epidural. It was very empowering to say the least. I wanted to do it again with my third but he turned breech during my last week of pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom! You and your children are so sweet to celebrate her birthday and honor her at the same time.
