I'll start off by saying I am not a fan of JK Rowling. She has said some pretty disgusting things, and many of the actors in the movies have spoken out against her. But I cannot deny that she wrote some popular books and with that comes amusing merch.
Like, I'm sorry, but these are hilarious:
And I admit, I didn't even read or watch Harry Potter. But I've so many friends who love all things Harry, so I learned about the candies. Plus, I do love the Butterbeer. I popped into the store while at NYC and was a fan even though I am not completely sure of the history behind it.
The display looks cool and I found it in the front of the Halloween candy aisles at Target:
There was exploding candy:
If there's a Harry Potter fan in your life, these would make fantastic holiday gifts. Invited to a white elephant night? Grab these chocolate frogs.
Eager for an edible wand? Purchase this. Cast a spell and then eat the wand.
If you're missing excitement in your life, these exploding candies could help:
I like how it's called candy floss instead of cotton candy.
I did grab these flies. I haven't tried them yet:
If candy doesn't thrill you, there were slime kits and various other toys:
I bet these sugars are tasty. I didn't get any, but if you have one that's delicious, let me know:
You can also put the gifts in this bag or owl:
Everything is affordable. The candy is $5.99. If you're throwing a Halloween party, the chocolate bugs will be a hit. Or if you want to get a smile out of someone, hand over the flies. It's all at Target and seems to be going fast, so if you wanted these, hurry in.
Do you like Harry Potter?

I feel the same about this! I saw these candies at Target, they are so fun!
ReplyDeleteThe roach candy would be great for a white elephant gift. These sound like fun sweets to try.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to give J.K. Rowling any money. I don't buy anything from her
ReplyDeleteThe roach candies are perfect for the halloween, surely the kids would love this! Not sure about J.K Rowling haha!
ReplyDeleteAnd I admit, I didn't even read or watch Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteThis must be like heaven for Harry Potter fans. Such a great selection of really cool stuff, amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe love all things Harry Potter. I can't believe I've never seen these before. I know all of them!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest loves Harry Potter, so I think we'll visit together a Target to buy one or two of these lovely candies!
ReplyDeleteAgreed on both counts. This is why I have all the books and movies pirated. I love the content, but I will not support Rowling.
ReplyDeleteThose chocolate frogs and edible wands are such fun finds! The candy flies would definitely get a few laughs at a Halloween party, although I think I’d reach for the chocolate first. You’ll have to let us know how the flies taste!
ReplyDeleteI saw that display at Target as well! I thought about picking some of the stuff up to try out, but I never did. I wanted to try the chocolate frog.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really nice! We actually bought a bunch of Halloween treats already, but somehow missed the edible wands. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them on our next grocery run.

I love all of the pieces here because it looks so fanatic and great collaboration
ReplyDeleteI have never been a huge Harry Potter fan, but some of these candies look so fun. The chocolate frogs and edible wand would make such funny little gifts!
ReplyDeleteMy son likes the Happy potter books. I need to go to target and get him some of these for Christmas. It would be a fun gag gift.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Harry Potter is a Halloween theme, but I get the connection. Next time you come to NYC, give me a holla so we can meet up. As for JK, some of her views have been unfortunate and in poor taste, but her exceptional Harry Potter series books will live on forever as more children read them.
