Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!

To feel better about myself when my meat comes out raw when I'm cooking because most of the professional cook people on Hell's Kitchen do it all the time. (Note to self: don't order the fried chicken if I ever go there.)

To like the word slacks. It just sounds so fancy. "Are those new slacks?"

To miss Tom. We won't be able to see him again until after his military class.

To be excited to do a pirate cruise today. You get to go on a ship that looks like a pirate one, plus there are all sorts of pirate activities. I'll post pictures on Instagram.

To have a giveaway for a copy of The Lego Movie here.

To hope I can still get online while at the beach--sometimes the rooms don't get a WiFi signal very well. But I have my phone to update Twitter at least.

To be ready for Big Brother to start again! I'll have to DVR it as I'm at the beach right now.

To have finally found the cotton candy grapes at HEB. They are good and yes, they do taste like cotton candy! I love HEB! (And the nicotine stuff is my Dad's. When I posted the photo last week some people thought they were mine. Nope. The ice cream isn't mine either. It's dairy free. Ick!)

Airing My Dirty Laundry

  1. Ha- I hate the word slacks! My mom used to say that back in the 80s. Made my skin crawl! The pirate ship sounds awesome.

  2. Wait cotton candy grapes? I didn't even know this existed?

  3. Cotton candy grapes?! I need these in my life, I bet we don't have them here in UK though. Which totally sucks.
I joined in with your linky this week :)

  4. I don't even have kids and I'd be excited for a pirate cruise. Definitely more okay for you than me!

  5. it's also okay to explain your grocery items. lol! good to know about the grapes though. i saw them once and they were super pricey!

  6. Slacks. I like slacks. Trousers is fun to say too.

  7. No can doesies on slacks.

I've never heard of these cotton candy grapes.

  8. LOL at your nicotine disclosure. I don’t smoke but I definitely don’t judge either. Cotton candy grapes…are you serious? OMG THAT SOUNDS AMAZING. But not as amazing as the word “slacks.” I agree, it’s a goodie

  9. I always forget about HEB until I go to TX!!!
Hope y'all are having fun at the beach!
I don't wear slacks but my boys do on a rare occasion:)

  10. So intrigued by the cotton candy grapes! So intrigued that I didn't notice the other purchases.
    Very diverse!

  11. YAYYYYY, another Big Brother fan. Here's a preview of the first HoH competition someone posted on Big Brother Whispers.

  12. Hold the phone... COTTON CANDY GRAPES?! I need these! Not want... NEED!

  13. I miss HEB! They had the best vegetable potstickers. Nothing here in Florida compares to those from HEB.

  14. Ugh! I can't wait for Big Brother. One more day!

  15. slacks sounds like the 70s to me! i think it's bc it's something my mom says, "you look so sharp in those slacks." i think that killed the word for me! ;)

cotton candy grapes? well i'm in!
i had no wifi at the beach. it wouls work for about 5 min in the morning. that was IT

  16. We are going to give Big Brother another shot, but I do not have high hopes after last season. :(-Ashley

  17. I'll admit, 'slacks' ain't so bad.

Better than what my granny used to say:

    No, thank you.

  18. Slacks is a great word. I came across a list called "words to use more often". Here are a few.
lovely proper swell absurd squabble audacity pompous efficacy loath(I use abhor) peckish mayhap LOL behalf superfluous fetching(not a dog) cleave eminent breathtaking sorrowful resplendent realm. I used the word baseball mitt yesterday and hubby laughed at me. "it's a glove". I'm going to pick one of these words and completly replace a boring word in my vocabulary with it.

  19. Slacks is a fun word. Personally I'm going to bring back "knickers" as in "Don't get your knickers in a bunch!"
