Maybe It's Not So Bad...

Well.

I survived.

Tom was off of work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

When he wasn't following me around and asking ridiculous questions
("what's for lunch?"), he was doing this:

I lost my temper several times because Tom was doing this:

I forced Tom to watch an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba with Natalie because he kept doing this for hours. He claims he is now traumatized.

I went on a shopping spree because of this:

It's fun to ask questions when Tom is distracted. I'm all, "Hey Tom, can I buy this?" and he's so involved in the game so he's all, "Sure, fine." Of course then when he sees what I've bought he's all, "Wait, where did that come from?" and I'm all, "Oh, you said I could get it while on the computer, remember?" And Tom won't want to admit that he wasn't really paying attention so he's all, "Oh....right.."

  2. Oh my gosh that's funny. I've got to learn how to use photoshop....

  3. he's traumatized after only one episode of yo gabba gabba?!?! it's a good thing we women are made of sterner stuff than that!

  4. That's my favorite time to ask for stuff! Just make sure the kids aren't around so that they don't pick up on that awesome tactic, k? :)

  5. He needed some of the special stash and a glo stick for Yo Gabba Gabba.

  6. *giggles* I love how you used the same picture!! Now you get the computer back to yourself during daylight hours!

  7. You made him watch Yo Gabba Gabba? What kind of a person are you? I...I...I can't read here anymore. I can't support that kind of behaviour...

  8. Too funny, I too can not photoshop but need to learn.

    So what did you buy?

    xx

  9. Hmmm... with the move to Montana looming, it would seem that someone with the odd face on his head would be making arrangements and perhaps packing away some things.

...or does the military do all that?

  10. YoGabbaGabba can do that to a person...

  11. Haha that is sooo funny. Believe me I can totally relate and good to know I am not the only one with a husband who is obsessed with the computer.

  12. Yo Gabba Gabba...you are sick and twisted.

  13. I do the same thing to my husband. Its fun.

  14. You are a stronger woman than I am! I have panic attacks thinking about my DH being home for a week!

  15. I am glad you survived. Just think...its several more months until another long weekend!

  16. All I can say is, I FEEL YOUR PAIN! But gaming time is indeed the best time to ask for stuff. Especially when they are in the middle of a big firefight or something. Check out nerd post (Who Wouldn't Want to Spend the Weekend With Guys Like this) for my pain, if you haven't already...

  17. You survied by shopping. A lesser woman would have accidently on purpose let her child wipe boogers on her husband.
    jus' sayin'

  18. Now that is a great strategy. Maybe you should try it for scheduling things like days at the spa...well, you said I could when you were on the computer!

  19. So funny! My husband is the same way...and it drives me crazy. I'd just as soon he not actually be at home...sigh...

  20. Men, they're all alike. If he's going to be on the computer like that, you might as well take advantage of it, right?

  21. I love the little faces you drew and how they're getting angrier and angrier progressively!! My hubby is like that too on the computer....I could seriously get naked and light myself on fire and he wouldn't even notice.

  22. Just have Blake come over and say, "Hey, Tommy's dad...."

  23. The pics alone are to die for...

I've used the same tactic to get stuff...

  24. That's the best part, asking them for things you want when they're distracted. Now what if you had walked over in a negligee, would he have even noticed?

  25. I thank God every day that my husband isn't into gaming. Actually, he says he would be if we had a system or games. So we've made it a point to not allow them in the house, because he's slow enough getting things done around the house on his own...with no distractions... know what I mean?

  26. absol-freakin-brillaint idea! LOVE IT!

  27. If you spun his chair around and took his picture, would his eyes look like the cartoon character who's been hypnotized and in place of pupils there are spinning targets? LOL!

  28. It's a catch 22, huh? You don't want him following you around, but he could be doing something more constructive with his time. I feel you pain, my husband plays Combat Flight Simulators. >sigh<

There's a party in my tummy! So yummy! So yummy!
Yo Gabba Gabba is EVIL!!! haha!

  35. ROL...those faces were TOO FUNNY! Ahhh, men...they are all alike no matter which way you look at them.

  36. What game is he playing? That kind of looks like me at times (well, not that haircut) but at least I got B her own computer.

  37. Conrad would be showing me that side of him as well, except his obsession is with his Blackberry. Same principle, though. He's always on it, even when we're watching TV together, and he constantly makes me stop and rewind when he misses a funny part.

  38. Good for you! I would totally use that situation to my advantage too : ) And SO funny that is he is traumatized by Yo Gabba Gabba : ) Funny boys!

  39. Nobody has to force me to watch Yo Gabba Gabba. It's the best!

  40. That is so funny! Thanks for stopping by.

    Happy SITs Saturday Sharefest!

  41. I thought I would lose my mind. He's all exited - four day weekend!!! I'm groaning, oh no!!! Four days of you following me around the house, asking stupid questions and generally up my buttcrack.

    Men!

  42. I love your photo shop work!! Excellent

  43. My husband does this too! Usually on a free night when he does not have to read 100s of pages of law books, he will sit and play those computer games. I figure it's his release, as long as it doesn't become a 24/7 thing!
