Toning my Tush

I’m trying to tone my ass.

And not just my ass. Everything.

It’s just, Tom has been working out a lot in Korea. I don’t want to be the flabby one in the relationship.

So it’s a good thing I got these shoes from my parents for Christmas:

They are supposed to help me tone my ass.

Their quote even says, “Make your bottom part your better part.” Thanks, Sketchers, I’d love to do this.

Now when I’m shopping I’m all, “Lalala, as I shop, I’m toning my ass.”

I’m not sure if there is much of a change. Back there, I mean. I asked Tom if he noticed a firmer tush and he was all, “I could tell you for sure if you took off your pants.”

I checked my backside out in the mirror and it’s hard to tell. I’m not about to ask my children, that could traumatize them. Then when they are adults, they could be with a psychologist going, “I remember distinctly when my life changed forever. My Mom asked me if her butt looked firmer.”

I’ll just have to hope these shoes are doing their job.

But.

I don’t always eat the greatest, and I’m not sure the shoes will help if I don’t limit my chocolate intake.

It doesn’t help when a nice reader named Katelin sent me all this:

That’s a box full of chocolate.

She works for a company called Chocolate Chocolate and I highly recommend it. I mean, if you love chocolate, you’ll love the site.

This made me laugh.

Mmm, an IRS form never tasted so good.

A giant chocolate bar, almost as big as my head!

A variety of chocolate bars. These were my favorite ones:

So thank you, Katelin. These chocolates will not be wasted. They will be enjoyed, and loved, and...well, might make my ass expand.

But isn’t that why I got the shoes?

  1. I MAY need to buy the IRS form for my dad, who does taxes for a living. He'd find that hilarious.

  2. I love the prescription one! That's clever. And I'm anxious to hear how the shoes work. I may need to get me a pair of those ;)

  3. Yum! Now I want chocolate!! And we have some good stuff in the cabinet from the holidays. Only it's not 8 a.m. yet and at my last OB appt the nurse told me not to take eating for two SO literally... so I should probably wait until at least 10 a.m. before attacking the chocolate stash.

  4. I thought about getting that kind of shoes, too. Then I decided I'd rather do my morning workout and not wear ugly shoes to the office. But let me know if they work! ^^

(I love wearing ugly shoes at home. I have fuzzy feet shoes, and sports shoes and shoes with red squares and... you get it. But I hardly ever wear shoes outside the office, therefore...)

  5. Yum! I am pretty sure if you WEAR the shoes while eating the chocolate you will negate the calories! :)

  6. I love those novelty chocolate bars. Often the chocolate tastes bad, but sounds like you scored with these ones!

  8. The chocolate looks great! She can send me some anytime! :o)

  9. I think if you do laps around your house while wearing those shoes and eating that chocolate, you'll totally be fine! In fact, maybe do a few toe lifts after every couple of laps just to burn off some of the extra energy you'll have from the chocolate rush!

(I thought I wanted some shoes like that, too, until I saw all that chocolate, and now I'm not sure which I'd want more!)

  10. mmm - chocolate. But you better start walking more. (with those kids? right)

  11. You are one lucky lady - a box of chocolate things. I think eating all that chocolate would be the only way to find out if the shoes are indeed working.

  13. I have been seriously contemplating a pair. Are they comfortable? Do they "feel" like they're working, I mean does your ass feel like it's getting a bit of a workout? 'Cause I can use all the help I can get!

  16. YUM!!! I may or may not have just licked my screen.

Also, the ass-toning shoes: you'll have to update us later as to whether they're working. I've always wanted to know.

  17. *licking the screen*
I can't taste them .. you need to just send them my way, because they will definitely cancel out the shoes! Muuahahahaha

  18. Damn, thats a lot of chocolate! How come my readers dont send me a ton of chocolate?! Oh well - I dont have firm you ass shoes. I have to do a bazillion squats to firm my butt. Let me know if the shoes work!

  19. I feel like the shoes will just undo whatever you do that isn't...exemplary.

So, while you WALK to the kitchen to get your chocolate, you've already burned off those calories.

I'm pretty sure that's how science works.

  20. As a health semi-professional, exercise expertish, and life long admirer of the female hind-quarters, I can tell you with 100% scientific certainty that noting works as good or as fast at toning and firm the female ass like deep squats and lunges. Walking and reducing caloric intake help greatly, but will not do it alone.

    Trust me.

  21. speeling errors:

    nothing, not "noting"

    firming, not "firm"

  24. RE: comment you left on my blog. Thanks for the extra info! Good to hear from someone who has actually tried them and not just a skinny chick in a commercial!

  25. Eat the choclate while walking in the shoes. It should cancel them out.

  26. Well THANK goodness you've got the shoes to firm it all up. Eat away my friend, eat away, 'cause those shoes are gonna work WONDERS! No really, I choose to believe that. Let us know.

  27. Is this a chocolate kind of day or what? This is at least the second out of the three I've read so far that mentioned chocolate. Now, I have to go search the pantry. I'm salivating.

    Hope the shoes work!

  29. Loving all your chocolate goodies!! Lucky duck!

  30. I dont know how well they work, since I just started them, but I can tell you that after the first day, my calves really hurt. And since I work out 5 days a week--with LOTS of lunges and squats--it takes a lot to make me hurt. Its a good hurt though like I am doing something

So something is going on with these shoes

  31. Yum! Chocolate!

Those shoes look great! I've been contemplating buying some form of those shoes. At least those look normal. Some of them look like some kind of "special" shoes - they really stand out in the crowd if you know what I mean!

    ReplyDelete
  32. haha, maybe they'll cancel each-other out, y'know? So you can eat all that chocolate and your backside will stay just the same. I think that's fair. . . actually, that's pretty magical, considering how much chocolate is in that box!

P.S. If you need help getting rid of the temptation, I'd be more than happy to take some of it off your hands!

  33. I've been thinking about getting a pair of those...keep us posted on how they work.

  34. Forget the shoes just go for the chocolate! Yum!
