Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

----------------------

To be taking the kids to see Rio on Friday. I hope it’s good. If it’s not, at least I’ll have movie theater nachos to console me.

To cringe at the word ‘bestie.’ I have a best friend. (Hi, Jennifer S!) Not a bestie.

To miss the old Wendys fries.

To wish I could watch the show Camelot but I don’t have the Starz network. D’oh.

To love rapping grannies. The one at the end of The Wedding Singer? KILLED me.

To like the new Showtime show The Borgias. Torrance Coombs needs a role. FYI, to casting directors. Richard Bryant also needs a role considering he was killed on Army Wives. Come on. I need some eye candy. No one on there appeals to me yet. Jeremy Irons does in a weird way I suppose, but I think it’s his voice…

To always giggle when cows moo. I can’t help it. They sound FUNNY. And a little possessed.

To love Pez candies.

To wonder if Scream 4 is any good.

To be in awe of the Easter bunnies who put iPods in children’s baskets. Seriously, I know someone who is doing this for their kids. I wish that Easter bunny would come here because all we get is candy.

  1. Yes, could not agree more with the last one. People who treat Easter like Christmas make the rest of us look cheap!

  2. I heard if you liked any of the other Scream's you'll like this one.

I think you'll like Rio, I heard it's really cute!

  3. I totally miss the old Wendy's fries. And I also agree the work "bestie" is pretty lame.

  4. "besties" is probably one of the most irritating words ever invented by 10yr olds and adopted by grown women.

  5. OH, I was wondering about Scream 4!! It can't beat the other Scream though, where Drew Barrymore gets wacked (I hate Drew Barrymore)!!

  6. could the Easter Bunny come to my house and just give me cold hard cash? that'd be great... :-) I've been dying to watch the Borgias! Glad to know it's good.. anything with sex, greed, corruption and poison can't be bad, right??

  7. We are taking M to see Rio when Ty gets home- I am so excited haha! And an iPod? Send me that Easter Bunny too please!!

  8. I am SO guilty of using the word "bestie", but in my defense... the last time I used BFF to refer to a friend, she went all psycho on me and tried to move in on my man. Couldn't take that chance again :D

  9. My kids get candy for Easter and that's it. And they get Pez--how cool is that?!? Did you know they have a giant Easter Pez dispenser?!? They sell it at Walgreens or RiteAid---that's some Easter awsomeness right there...

  10. I want to see RIO. My granddaughter is still a bit too young for the theater. I need to borrow someone's kid so I don't look like a pathetic old loser grandma with nothing else to do. Of course there are the nachos. Do you think anyone would believe I went just for the nachos? Probably about as much as we believe guys read Playboy for the articles, huh?

  11. We are seeing Rio today, I hope it is fun! For me it's okay to be glad that I have 3 (not inculding today) days left of spring break, it's also ok not to count the day after easter as a day off becuase I don't want to depress myself. IPOD's for easter!! Oh, come on!!! Silly, silly, silly!!!

  12. Our Easter Bunny has been known to slip a book or a dvd in the baskets, but IPods?! Wow!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Even Santa doesn't do IPods at our house

  14. I've heard Scream 4 is actually really good. Go figure!

  15. We want to see Rio too. The First Scream freaked me out so bad that I never saw the others.

After reading an article the other day about what fast food restaurants do to their fries, I will not miss any of them. EWW!

I wish I could see TruBlood this season, but we gave up all but the basic cable. :(

The Easter bunny brings a swim suit and an small art project with some candy. Nothing so expensive as an iPod, holy COW!

I love this idea. I may have to give this a go in the next couple of weeks.

  16. I watched a couple episodes of camelot and it was just ok. It wasn't as good as The Tudors.

    I love cows :)

  17. I love Pez candy too! Also? I would like the Easter Bunny to bring me something equally as expensive as an iPod! That's crazy!

  18. I totally want to see Rio. You will have to tell us if its any good.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Easter Bunny doesn't even visit our house.

  20. I won't lie...Camelot is awesome. Sorry.

  21. I was thinking of taking the kids to Rio, too. But I'm a little leary of the theater since Hop. My kids were SO bad, I ended up with coke spilled all over my lap and missed most of the movie because I was taking kids to the bathroom the whole time. I couldn't even tell you what the movie was about, except to say that there was a rabbit.
    I think.

  22. yes rio is good. I mean its a kid's movie so no, there's no eye candy. no real deep moving plots or anything. but some laugh out loud moments for the adults and kids in the theatre and good music and lovely visuals - though we did not see the 3d. I think that would make me sick. or give me a headache. I've never seen one though so I'm just supposing...

  23. I love this idea for a post. But we're going to have to agree to disagree on the wendy's fries- I'm liking the new ones. :)

  24. I miss the old wendy's fries too. growing up we always got one big easter present (so a big plastic bunny once, a stuffed animal another) my son is getting the imaginext dragon fortress (I got a really good deal at kmart). here's mine - http://parentplanet.info/?p=2163 - I even grabbed your button (so proud of me!)

  25. So who is this poor Wendy? I'd tell you all to shove off and get your own fries (wink).

I loved The Tudors. I don't think The Borgia's have made it over here yet, but I'll be sure to catch it when it does.

An ipod for Easter??? Guess they save the Porche for Christmas, eh?

  26. I want the Easter bunny to bring me an Ipad, liposuction, and a spa day.

    ReplyDelete
  27. an iPod? Seriously? Overboard.

    Cows definitely sound funny.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Great idea! I love this :)
I thought I was the only one who LOL's at cows when they mooo :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is it ok that I like to watch Mob Wives? hahaha I can't help it!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd like to kidnap that Easter Bunny! Ours doesn't bring anything like that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Easter is sort of a DNA splice between Santa, the Tooth Fairy, etc. all represented by the Big Bunny. Hence there being $, gifts, AND chocolate.
    Great post Dirty Laundry.

  32. Pez is it's own food group here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I miss the old Wendy's fries and I like Pez candy.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I refuse to give into the idea that Easter somehow needs to become another huge gift-giving occasion. So not the reason for the season.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'd like to see Rio and Scream 4. But I think I'll wait until they come out on DVD.
    Enjoy the movie and nachos!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Gee.. I got exciting when I started to get $15 Itunes gift cards in my Easter Baskets... hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love The Borgias too, and I agree there really isn't any good eye candy on yet.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wendys has the best fries, but I actually prefer the new salted fries. And I am curious as well about Scream 4.

    ReplyDelete
  39. In German, "Bestie" means "beast". ^^

  40. Funny: I used to work at Glamour as an editorial assistant, and they would actually hire their own employees (me!) to be one of their fashion "Don'ts" (Is that still in the magazine?) back then the don't was wearing leggings under a shear skirt.

  41. I want to see Rio, the music is making it appealing to me.
Mmm fries, now I want some!
LOVED the granny rapping at the end of Wedding Singer. She is all sorts of awesome!
SERIOUSLY, that Easter Bunny needs to come to my house too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hope Rio is good because my girls want to go see it too!

My girls get candy and coloring stuff and bath stuff and bracelets...no ipods! Crazy!
