Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

-------------------------

To have thought Clint Eastwood’s speech was fantastic. I liked the whole empty chair bit.

To be watching the second seaon of The Walking Dead. A character just found out she’s pregnant. In a world full of zombies.

To wish I liked cooking more. I find a bunch of recipes on Pinterest but lack the motivation to actually MAKE them.

To still want to go to the pawn shop where Pawn Stars is filmed. I’ve read blog posts about it. Apparently there is a lot of Chumlee merchandise up front.

To know I could never join the PTA. Just not my scene.

To hate when I meet someone new and two seconds into meeting them they’re like, “Hey, so do you want to host a party for me? I sell candles/cookware/sex toys…”

To always feel like I’m going into another world whenever I shop at WalMart.

To be donating a bunch of books to the library. I want to cry, because I love my books, but I need to downsize. Plus, I know they’re going to a good home. So long as people don’t fold the pages down to keep their spots.

To have watched Friends with Kids on Netflix and not liked it much at all. All of the women in the movie were too skinny! The only one who looked normal was Maya Rudolph. The rest needed a Big Mac. It was distracting how skinny and gross they looked. I hate how that’s the norm in Hollywood.

  1. I like what you said today. The stars are too skinny and Clint rocked. Don't tell anybody but the PTA is not really my thing either and I'm a teacher. Shhh

  2. I was at Pawn Stars shop in Las Vegas last May. I was very surprised about how small the shop actually is. Very narrow. Yes, there is a lot of Chumley and other merchandise. Unfortunately there was no one of the cast in the store at the time. As it was on a Sunday, I was not surprised.

  3. I am so bad about pinning mouth-watering recipes on Pinterest and then forgetting all about them, or like you, lacking the motivation.

  4. Since it's "okay Tuesday" is it okay to admit that I hate being "out-of-the-loop"? So I'm now off to google "Clint Eastwood empty chair speech", then I'll crawl back under my rock. ;)

  5. I pin way more than I actually cook too. I feel creative and productive without doing anything.

  6. I pin so much more than I cook or craft.. I am slowly, very slowly, trying to expand my cooking skills. I have a few new recipes to try this month that I really hope I don't fail on.
I think it would be super neat to go to that pawn store!

  7. I always feel like I need to brace myself when I go to Wal-Mart. It really is like a whole other universe there.

  8. I don't really foresee myself joining the PTA...I don't like people enough to do that.

Wal-Mart is the closest thing to hell...

  9. Always love your Tuesday posts.

The Walking Dead is filmed here near my house. My dad works on the set and we actually have some left over body parts. HAHA! Saving them for Halloween. :-)

  10. The Pawn Stars shop is really, rwally tiny. My husband's boss went in and saw everything in less than 10 minutes.

  11. The Pawn Stars tv guys rarely go into the shop because they are now famous. You have to go to the fancy nightclubs to see them. Chumly has a ton of shoes (documented in the paper somewhere) and drives a rented Rolls. The line outside the shop is long as lots of people want to see it. Sorry.

  12. Howdy! Just popped over to say HI
I know exactly what you mean about giving your books away. I did that when we moved from one state to another. Though there were still a good sized box I kept. I just may have to downsize again. Plus I have a kindle now for my reading. BUT… there is just something about the tangible book with all it's imperfections of many hands that have touched it.
Take care….. And if you feel like it, stop by

  13. I died laughing throughout the entire Clint Eastwood speech. I feel like no matter what side you're on, you have to get he was just joking around. Apparently some people didn't get the memo though ;-)

  14. I LOVE cooking, and I still have more recipes pinned than I know what to do with!
Also, I hate the party question. Makes me run away screaming, at least inside. :-)

  18. The worst thing is the camera adds 10 pounds...so imagine how skinny they are in real life.

  19. I am not too sure I could ever be a PTA mom either. I am sure half the things I say or would prob teach my kids would not be "right"

  20. ughh I hate anyone who asks me to host a party for them.

  21. I'm the same way with Pinterest....I have so many recipes pinned but I know the chances of me actually making them are slim to none.

  22. I get what you mean about Pinterest. I have to REALLY be in the mood to cook all those pins.

  23. Just finished re-watching TWD on blu-ray myself!! SOOOO much gory detail on blu-ray, so worth the money, lol! Next season starts next month - YAY!!!!!

I love my books too, but now I buy on Kindle so I NEVER, EVER, EVER have to get rid of them again!!! Thomas doesn't understand my love affair with books! Now the only ones I keep are the travel ones we buy and my Anne of Green Gables collection. I'm selling the rest after I finish them.

  24. Where are you meeting people? I don't think I have ever been asked to host a sex party by a stranger.

  25. I'm with you on the cooking! So many great recipes, and only one has made it from being printed off and then cooked. I try... sometimes... :)
