Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!

--------------

To have not watched the Oscars. I heard pizza was ordered, a picture went viral, and Idina's name was pronounced wrong. I don't think I missed much.

To know I should probably shave when Tom says my nether regions resemble the enchanted forest.

To want to try the new waffle taco from Taco Bell. Confused? Google it. A delicious picture will pop up.

To wonder if the couples from 90 Day Fiance will stay married. Yes, I watch some odd reality shows. I cannot help it.

To be bummed that it's cold again this week. It was 68 on Friday. It snowed and was in the 20s on Sunday. Cold Monday and school was canceled. Cold today. School canceled AGAIN. Gah!

To not care what that Kepner got her way on Grey's Anatomy. I'm more interested in a possible Grey's Anatomy/Scandal crossover.

To have been really worried that Daryl and Beth were going to kiss during their Have You Ever? game on The Walking Dead.

To have bought Tommy's birthday cake. I am not creative. I had the bakery draw Mr. Resetti on it. He's a character from Animal Crossing that amuses Tommy.

  1. I watched 90 Day Fiancé as well and wonder the same thing. I wonder if they'll do a follow up episode or something?

  2. I watched the Oscars for approximately 3,476 hours and your first paragraph summed it up nicely. GAH! That's a week of my life I'm never getting back.
Is it okay that I didn't even realize that we could be making our own birthday cakes? Do people do this? --Lisa

  3. I watched the Oscars because I wanted to see what movies won which awards. I can assure you, however, you didn't miss too much. I thought Ellen did a mediocre job of hosting.

  4. no I don't think you missed much about the oscars!
as for a grey's / scandal cross over, you know it can't happen right? Cyrus was Mer's dad and Sally was her mom! Plus Jake was Henry...and those Grey's characters are all dead!

  5. I was SO worried where the Beth/Daryl thing was going, too! I'm not sure I would have been able to watch after that.

  6. If I were Daryl and Beth I would have do e it already. The might not get another opportunity.

  7. Ohh a Grey's/Scandal crossover?! That would be amazing!!

  8. I didn't watch the oscars either. I usually don't like the movies nominated so I really don't care who wins

  9. We are back to cold weather here too. It is just not fun!

  10. You know more about what went on in during the Oscar's than I do - skipped it all!
I'm always happy when we can go with store bought on the cake thing!!

  11. Didn't watch the oscars, and ain't nobody got time to make a cake!!!!

  12. I watched the Oscars because Ellen was hosting. She did a fantastic job! If the Oscars had been all Ellen, that would have been amazing. As for the rest of the show...meh. And it was SUPER long.

  13. There might be a Greys/Scandal crossover?!?! That just made my whole day!

  15. I didn't watch the awards show either. I googled the red carpet pictures though, I love to see what everyone wears.

    Happy Birthday Tommy!

  16. The Enchanted Forest? bahahaha! At least he says it's enchanted and not something like...."the evil forest." Or as Scarlet says, "the trappy woods behind our house."
    The taco waffle thingy? Intriguing!
    Hope Tommy loved his cake!

  17. Oh my am I gonna have to link up with this next week! I was totally scared that Daryl might kiss Beth on Walking Dead too! While it was the only interesting part of the entire episode, it was definitely keeping me on the edge of my seat. I Love me some Daryl action, he can't go for her!! If zombies were taking over, I would HAVE to have a Daryl. And clearly by reading this comment you can tell I didn't care much for the Oscars either. . . I'm sure it was fun but so is Sushi, True Detective and Walking Dead!

  18. Definitely cool to buy an awesomely decorated/personalized cake. So cute!

And I missed the Oscars too (but I don't have cable so I miss everything ha).

  19. Bahahaha at your nether regions resembling an enchanted forest! Pete makes fun of me all the time for that. Shit's a pain the ass to shave though... and don't get me started on the uncomfortable razor bumps that look like a damn STD!

  20. I love your list! I didn't watch the Oscars either and I think the cake turned out cute!

  21. I didn't watch the Oscars either. I don't see movies much. I was wondering the same thing about 90 day too. I hope they all work out.

  22. I don't think I've ever watched the Oscas. Or any other award show, for that matter. Celebrity stuff just doesn't really appeal to me. I mean, I'm not opposed to looking at hot guys or anything, but other than that I really don't care!

  23. I skipped the Oscars and just looked up the winners and the dresses the next day! The show is on too late at night for me.

  24. I watched the Oscars because I already knew that school was cancelled and I could sleep in. You recapped it quite nicely! Anything worth seeing was on the Internet within minutes, anyway. And happy belated birthday to Tommy!

  25. Love this! Maybe I'll be inspired and keep a short list of things to make my own list with next week.

  26. Wait a Grey's/Scandal crossover??? How have I not heard about this! Yes I still watch Grey's.....I'm committed you could say.

  29. OMG >> I should probably shave when Tom says my nether regions resemble the enchanted forest.

    Awesome.

  30. haha--bought cakes are awesome, anyway! Unless you actually think it's fun to decorate cakes, and some people do...but I'd be the type to make a cake decorate purely with a bottle of sprinkles...

  31. I watched the Oscars the more entertaining way: the 10 minute highlight reel over morning coffee the next morning.
(although it was playing in the hospital lounge where I was visiting mom, and I did see Mr. Travolta's "oh hell no he didn't?!" moment. that was pretty bad. You had one job!)

Oh my gosh - I would have thrown a brick at my TV had Bethyl happened! No. Just No. She's like 19? Bad Daryl!

And I totally appreciate the irony that 45 year old Norman has a 21 year old model girlfriend.
And I think it's okay that I know that. *somewhat sheepish*

  32. I was slightly terrified to google Waffle Taco in case you were tricking us and it was something along the lines of blue waffle.
I really like 90 Day Fiance. I like Kirlyan, her accent is adorable.
I hate award shows but I watched some of the Oscars just to see Ellen. She kills me!
